Ashley’s wedding to J.P. was anything but ordinary, according to a new report! In fact, their Dec. 1 ceremony in Pasadena, California was romantic, tender and intimate from the dress to the cake! Find out all the details.
Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum exchanged vows on Saturday Dec. 1 at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena, California, in front of approximately 300 family, friends and an entire camera crew! The former stars of The Bachelorette will have their wedding featured on television, so fans will get to continue along with Ashley and J.P. on their journey of love!
Ashley Hebert’s Wedding Dress Was A Show Stopper — Literally
“Ashley can’t wait for people to see [her gown]!” an insider tells Us Weekly.
“She looked gorgeous walking down the aisle!” a guest at the wedding tells Life & Style. “They seemed so happy and in love.”
Ashley wore a strapless white gown with a very long train. After the ceremony, J.P. had to lift her up to help her get off the stage where they had exchanged vows, officiated by franchise host Chris Harrison!
The Ceremony Integrated Both Religions & Families
Chris, Ashley and J.P. stood under a chuppah, a nod to the groom’s Jewish heritage. Furthermore, Ashley and J.P.’s moms performed a Celtic knot ceremony in which they tied knots binding their children’s wrists before saying a prayer.
“Their prayer had everyone in tears,” a guest told Wetpaint Entertainment. “It was so heartfelt.”
J.P.’s brother, Roy, served as his best man while Ashley’s maid of honor was her sister, Chrystie. (You may remember that she didn’t initially like J.P. during Ashley’s season of The Bachelorette.)
“They came really close to kissing several times during the ceremony,” a guest tells WetPaint. “But they were able to wait…barely…until they were pronounced man and wife.”
Ashley & J.P. Pick A ‘Foolish’ Wedding Song
After the ceremony, Ashley and J.P. danced to their song, “Fools Rush In,” before guests including fellow Bachelor and Bachelorette alumni like Ali Fedotowsky, Emily Maynard, and Jason and Molly Mesnick dined on chicken with English peas and mashed potatoes with a separate, vegetarian option of beets and risotto.
History of Ashley & J.P’s Love
J.P., 35, presented Ashley with a 3.5-carat cushion cut Neil Lane diamond when he proposed in Fiji during The Bachelorette‘s May 2011 finale.
Ashley and J.P. must be a match made in heaven because most Bachelor/Bachelorette couples never make it to the altar! Ashley and J.P. are only the second couple in 24 seasons to make it from the finale to the altar. Before them, Bachelorette Trista Rehn married firefighter Ryan Sutter in 2003.
