‘Vampire Diaries’: Damon & Elena Mustn’t Be Torn Apart

Sired or not sired — there was more chemistry between Delena in one episode than there has been between Stelena in over three seasons.

The Vampire Diaries’ episode last night, Nov. 29, FINALLY gave Elena and Damon fans what we’ve been waiting for endlessly – hot love and sex between the pair, who are clearly meant to be together.

Elena has long fought off her growing feelings for Damon as she has struggled to stay loyal to longtime boyfriend, Stefan. Now at last, she was “allowed” to express her true feelings for Damon, and before Delena fans were able to enjoy the vampire couple totally enjoying themselves, a pin was already put in their relationship.

When Caroline had the revelation that Elena’s feelings might not truly be real because she was “sired” by Damon, it seemed like the lid was immediately being put on the relationship that had been such a longtime in brewing.

There’s Evidence That Elena Has Loved Damon for a Longtime

That just seemed so unfair and disappointing to Delena fans. After all, Elena had been intensely drawn to Damon long before becoming a vampire.

Her inner feelings were clearly revealed in season two’s finale when Damon was dying from a werewolf bite, and then the pair bonded even more tightly when they spent season three trying to rescue Stefan.

I don’t think Elena has been as deeply in love with Stefan ever since he went bad under Klaus‘s influence. Even though she fought to save him, things never seemed as tight between them as before.

That’s because Stefan’s absence for months allowed Elena’s feelings for Damon to grow, and she’s never been able to bottle them back up.

Is Stefan’s Love For Elena Even True?

Now Stefan isn’t even sure he truly loves the new vampire Elena versus the human Elena, whereas Damon says he loves her either way.

Isn’t that proof that Stefan’s love isn’t even as strong as Damon’s?

In any case, we’ve never seen passionate, heated sex between Stefan and Elena, like we just got to witness between Damon and Elena.

Chemistry is chemistry, and Damon and Elena have IT! Stefan and Elena do not.

What Delena Fans Need

It’s not right for Elena to be even more intensely Elena as a vampire and then to discount her feelings for Damon just because she may be been “sired” by him – all in one episode.

Tearing Elena and Damon apart immediately is one plot twist that we’re not ready for! What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Tell me now!

To be honest, i begin to think that maybe Stefan always loved Elena only because she looked like Katherine. In a few episodes from season one or two, Katherine kissed Stefan,and he kissed her back. And he told her : What is it about you that still makes me care?” And Stefan stayed in Mystic Falls at first,only to know her. I think that deep down, Stefan truly loves Katherine, because he loved her as a human, but when he found out that she is a vampire,she had to make him forget,so that she doesn’t loose him. And with Elena is the same. He thought he loved her,as a human, just like with Katherine, but he doesn’t feel quite the same since she is a vampire. But Damon loves her no matter what.

You are right Bonnie, chemistry can’t be faked and Elena and Damon share mercurial chemistry! That being said (and me being a hardcore Delena shipper) I can’t wait to see Elena AND most importantly Damon realize her love is for real…I know we will see the day when un-sired Elena tells Damon she loves him, loves him, loves him…I can only imagine his face and his happiness!!! That in itself would make up for all the disappointments, letdowns and downright cruel moments we have had to live through while sailing this ship…:)

I think the ‘sire bond’ thing is about losing free will, when you don’t question anything, when you’re at your weakest, and your entire focus is on the person you’re with. There’s a lot of very deep parallels to what it means to be in an emotionally abusive or potentially physically abusive relationship. Without the supernatural cloak, in real life, you have to realize that you do have a say. You have to start thinking about what you want in your life, to break yourself of the sire-bond and you have to be your own hero. It’s sad, it’s scary, but you do have to break yourself from it and not feel that the end all be all is in this other person or that they hold your happiness. You have to realize that you have the strength and you hold your own key to your own happiness.”

Damon loves Elena a little too much
The real problem with Damon isn’t that he’s a “psychopath narcissist” — it’s that his heart is too big! All Elena wants is for her loved ones to live long and happy lives, but Damon doesn’t care about Elena’s wishes as long as he gets what he wants — her. When Elena and Matt were drowning after the crash, Stefan listened to Elena’s pleads to save Matt first because he understood that was the only way to make Elena happy. Damon, on the other hand, would kill anyone — even one of Elena’s best friends — to save her life. Though he’s much more sensitive, Damon’s still just as selfish as when we met him in Season 1.

Its simple, elana turned vamp, her emotions intensified, so yes her feelings for damon grew stronger but if she truly loved stefan then that love should have got stronger too, just as her doubts over them both would grow deeper As for her being sired, if she is or isnt it makes no real difference. Being sired just means you do as your sire asks wether you want to or not, but as tyler pointed out, it doesnt change how you feel emotionally about it. So if elana wasnt happy or in love with damon she wouldnt be fighting so hard to prove her feelings towards him. Stefan is a good guy, but he’s proving he only likes elana one way, and that he cant accept her faults and all. Damon doesnt always play nice, but even when hes being an idiot, he at least puts his own feelings to one side where elana is concerned as he wants the best for her even if it means he loses the one thing he desires, and that is her. It doesnt always seem that way but just how damon’s character is being developed from the bad boy image he had at the start. And good guy or bad boy i know personally id rather have a guy who would accept me for who i was, who would have the strength to stand up to me if he thought i was doing wrong, but who would stand by me when i made a decision good or bad, than someone who didnt like me at times because i was different from what he thought i should be. Life isnt about staying in one place and letting it slip by because its safe, its about making each day being the best it can be for you, and sometimes whats expected of you isnt what is best for you. btw i dont care who elana ends up with cos i personally dont like the character, caroline is a much more interesting one and would like to see her develop more.

Elena and Damon have chemistry because Nina and Ian are dating in real life. The chemistry can’t be denied. However, the love story is Stefan and Elena…..yet I root for Damon too. This actually is a true love triangle. I actually don’t think Elena is good enough for either of them…….Now Caroline I could see them fighting over…

i don’t get any of this news, i have only watch this show because elena and stefan! and i’m not sure if i want to watch it anymre! thats all i can say, you can say anything you want about damon but this show has not been so fair to nither stefan and damon, if they go on like this their gonna lose both stelena and dele fans

sweety, has stefan ever really understood elena? and when elena chose stefan over damon earlier, damon didn’t go out of town- cuz he knew she cared abt him n she didn’t want to lose any more ppl(like she told matt) but holy Stefan bailed out on her the moment she confessed abt her feelings for damon. C’mon. it’s evident! DELENA is what it’s supp to be.

Doesn’t damon deserve to be happy, after what he had been through for three seasons? Stefan doesn’t even love elena anymore. If you truly love someone that should remain same when the person become a bit darker. Elena loved stefan when he became ripper didnt she? She deserved the same, but saint stefan failed her. And i dont think damon needs to prove his unconditional love anymore..he changed enough for love, he deserves to be loved too.

I have been waiting all of this time for Delena and Damon to show their real feelings for each other even though we all knew how Damoln feels about her. It took her new Vampire instincts for Elena to give into her real feelings for the sexy Damon !
