William and Kate surprised the town of Cambridge when they enjoyed a low-key date at a pub on Nov. 28, enjoying second servings of goujon and chips!
Prince William and Kate Middleton must have been so happy to be able to have a normal, down to Earth date on Nov. 28 — something they absolutely love doing together. The Royal couple dined at The Fort St. George, where they ate mini burgers along with fish and chips!
“They seemed very hungry, I guess they’d had a very busy morning walking around Cambridge,” pub manager Gail Pritchard told Mail Online. “It was absolutely amazing to meet them, it was a very relaxing and chilled out lunch.”
William, 30, and Kate, 30, reportedly sat by the window so they could watch the boats pass by on the River Cam.
“It’s a very pretty pub and they had a river view. I think Prince William just wanted a nice pub lunch with his wife away from all the cameras. They said they enjoyed the food and even went back for seconds.”
The Prince and the Duchess ate smoked salmon, tuna and beef sandwiches (4.45 EUR), mini burgers, fish goujons, chips (8.45 EUR) and fresh fruit!
“There were a few boaters who went by on the river who were very surprised to see them,” Gail added. “It was a real honor to have the couple here.”
Earlier in the afternoon, Will and Kate attended a reception for 400 people at Cambridge University. They arrived at The Fort St. George, the oldest pub on the River Cam in Cambridge, featuring Ingle nook fireplaces and old oak beams, mid-afternoon.
What do YOU think of William and Kate’s lunch date, HollywoodLifers? Are they the most down to Earth Royals ever?
