Michael Lohan: I'm Worried Lindsay May Die If She Doesn't Go To Rehab

HollywoodLife.com spoke to Lindsay’s dad following the news that she may be headed back to jail after allegedly punching a woman in the face at an NYC nightclub and he told us he’s terrified that Lindsay is drinking and using drugs to “drown her sorrows.” Read Michael’s open letter to Lindsay!

Michael Lohan wants you to know that he’s only speaking out because he’s truly worried that his daughter Lindsay Lohan‘s life is so dangerous that she may kill herself. Michael has been ridiculed by many for being too loose-lipped when it comes to talking about his 26-year-old daughter but he tells HollywoodLife.com that it’s the only way he can get her attention and hopefully save her life.

HollywoodLife.com asked Michael if he thought Lindsay should go back to jail and he told us absolutely not. Michael also believes that Lindsay needs to go to rehab and that he and his ex-wife Dina Lohan need to go with her. Michael also tells us exclusively that Lindsay’s recent problems have nothing to do with her poor Liz & Dick reviews or the fact that it’s just been revealed that she has a 17-year-old sister named Ashley.

“Everyone says ‘Why do you speak out?’” he tells us. “And it’s because every time I’ve spoken out, she went back to rehab.”

Here’s Michael’s plea for Lindsay that he tells EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com:

“Lindsay doesn’t belong in jail. The reason all of this is happening is because of her addiction. Why is someone doing this? She is doing this because she’s not in the right frame of mind. She’s on alcohol and drugs. Lindsay is acting out because she needs treatment … she has a lot of pain and anger.”

Michael Says Lindsay Needs Rehab — And Dina Lohan Should Go, Too!

“Lindsay needs treatment! The whole family needs treatment. Lindsay will not get right unless Dina and I go together. Dina wouldn’t go to Cirque Lodge or Betty Ford in the past. Lindsay needs family therapy and Dina needs to put her differences aside with me and come to terms and be there for Lindsay. Lindsay needs a mother and a father. Every time she’s out she says, ‘I love my dad!’ People tell me, and then Dina rallies all the kids against me.

Lindsay wants her mom and dad and wants us both. Everyone will tell you this. Do I believe the new reports that Lindsay is drinking two liters of vodka a day? I believe she’s drinking to drown her sorrows. When I was at the Chateau Marmont I saw bottles … people tell me what she’s doing.”

Are Bad Reviews of Lindsay’s Performance in ‘Liz & Dick’ to Blame?

“None of this is because of Liz & Dick! It’s because she’s not in the right frame of mind to even care about that. She still has the movie The Canyons and Scary Movie 5 coming out. The new sister, she has known about this for years. Dina has been telling them about this for years. The one major thing is that Lindsay doesn’t have a mother and father. She won’t tell anyone where she is because she wants to be left alone, the only people who know where she is are the people that party with her.”

Does Michael Believe Lindsay Punched a Woman in the Face?

“I’ve never seen Lindsay be aggressive. Do I believe she hit the woman? I wasn’t there, I don’t know this woman but I think it was a set up! Come on, she approached Lindsay there! She’s a psychic and she wanted to give her a reading. Lindsay didn’t want the reading. Why did she come up to Lindsay?”

Will Lindsay go back to jail?

“When you’re in the wrong places it’s going to be like this. I wouldn’t be surprised if the judge takes this as a slap in the face and gives her jail time and sends her to rehab. If she does go to rehab, she has to go because she wants to. I don’t think jail will help her, it will make her worse. Lindsay is on alcohol, cocaine and prescription drugs. This idiot court system isn’t drug testing her. After she completed her sentence for the DUI it stopped. Since her probation now is not a DUI, she doesn’t have to take drug tests.”

Why is Michael Publicly Speaking About Lindsay’s Problems?

“Everyone says ‘Why do you speak out?’ Because every time I spoke out she went back to rehab. The reason why she won’t call me is because Dina will make her life harder. When I’m with her she’ll put her finger over her lips when Dina calls her and she says, ‘Shh, don’t let mommy know you’re here.’ I’ve been trying to contact Dina for the last three weeks. Dina came out and said what intervention when we tried to do one for Lindsay. Lindsay’s team were all behind it they didn’t want her to know about it. To be honest with you, it’s hard enough to do one intervention. If Dina was there we would have had to do two.”

Could Lindsay Die if She Doesn’t Get Help?

Kathie Lee recently said that she was worried that Lindsay’s self-destructive path could end up with something tragic happening and Michael agrees, saying, “I have the same fears. I have the same fears that Kathie Lee and Barbara Walters have. Why is it okay for them to talk about Lindsay and not me? I’m her dad.”

She needs rehab,jail to keep her away from drugs. Sometimes people have to hit there lowest before they make A Change for the better.Some people are just self destructive,never learn. My nephew overdosed 3 times,the 3rd time he was found dead in his bedroom.He was only 22 .Drugs are not cool.You got to be strong,just say no to drugs,have faith things will get better.She may have problems but there are people with problems way worse than hers.She creates her own problems,perhaps she should go somewhere ,make new friends that don,t abuse drugs,alcohol.My nephew Cody Sterling died,he played football in school,had A Job but he lost the battle of drug addiction this yr Oct.9 2012 ,his mom has been hurt the most by this,He died once ,they gave him cpr ,brought him back,he was in A coma for days.Then Another yr later he was found dead with vomit on him,This time his young body lays in A Coffen with his mother,friends crying over him!His mother will have A hard x.mas this yr.He just died in Oct.9 2012

Rehab in jail may be the only thing that will save her life, about 20 will do fine.

Lindsay is a chronic liar and drug addict. Frankly she will never change and the constant drama around her is really getting old with the same stuff. I do not feel one bit sorry for her. She is a mess.

Rehab isn’t going to help her. How many time has she been there she hasn’t learn a dame thing.

She needs to do some real time in prison and everyone on her enablers need to quit making excuses for her actions. I know people who have done years in prison for far less than Lindsay has done.And don’t you think five rehab stints are enough chances to “get out of jail free”?

If someone doesn’t step in, she’ll be another Anna Nicole, Whitney, ect……….. She is A MESS! She’s not even a star anymore. She’s a joke and so is her family. No need for her to get away with anything. What is the system doing? Waiting for her to hurt somebody? REDICULOUS!

Michael Lohan is the reason she drinks. She cannot change because he cannot change. If he wanted things to get better, he’d take a good hard look in the mirror. This is a complete Freudian eff up. But he is a narcissistic little bastard who cares only to use his family and not to do anything constructive to help them. Lindsay Lohan will never get any better because the media, the Tabloid media, TMZ in particular, won’t allow it to happen. It will never be enough until she is dead, so, yeah, sure, that’s probably how this will end. Its not just that certain people are rooting for Lindsay to fail. The truth is that her failure is big business for certain bottom feeders out there, Every time Lindsay fails, outlets like TMZ line their pockets. If Lindsay does not fall down on her own, TMZ will make damn sure to shove her back down again because kicking dirt on her grave is what pays their bills. Demi Lovato is right, unfortunately. The only voice of reason, it seems. Then again, Demi is twice the man that Harvey Levin will ever be.

How many rehabs does she need? Will it ever take? There is something she can’t get past, until she does, well she may die before she does.

Lindsay’s biggest overall problem is that when you get busted for doing something stupid or dangerous, you are supposed to lay low, learn from the mistake and stay away from who or what got you into that trouble and not do it again. Her problem is she does the complete opposite, every time, and goes right back to doing the things that got her into the first mess and now it has led to more jail time. It amazes me at how she is in total denial every time and never takes any of the blame or responsibility.
