Lindsay has reportedly been drinking heavily for months, which led her to allegedly slug Tiffany Eve Mitchell in the face on Nov. 28 — accusing the Florida psychic of stealing her sister’s purse with $10K inside!

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly guzzling as much as two liters of vodka a day, turning to alcohol for relief in response to her ongoing legal troubles and rotten reviews for Liz & Dick. Ironically, it was her reported drinking problem that led her to allegedly assault Tiffany Eve Mitchell at Avenue nightclub in New York City on Nov. 28.

“Lindsay was drinking all day and showed up at the [Justin] Bieber concert already hammered. She continued to drink throughout the night, and got extremely sloppy. Lindsay’s friends have given up trying to help her because when she’s drunk … she tends to get violent — which makes sense in light of her arrest for assault,” a source tells TMZ.

“Lindsay was completely out of control. She was drinking way too much booze and was doing cocaine,” a source tells Radar Online.

Lindsay’s Alleged Attack On Tiffany — Missing Purse Starts It All

Lindsay’s arrest came after the actress allegedly slugged Tiffany, believing the woman had stolen her sister’s purse which contained $10,000 in cash, according to the Post. 

“The woman was agitated, as Lindsay is looking for a purse close to the woman. And then the woman gets in her face,” the source told the Post.

“Give me back my purse,” Lindsay screamed, the source added. “Lindsay had stuffed her jacket and the purse behind the banquette, then went to look for it and couldn’t see it. She was too drunk to remember where it was.”

A Slug To The Face — Bouncers Refused To Intervene

According to the report, Lindsay approached Tiffany minutes later, punched her in the face and knocked a beer out of Tiffany’s cousin’s hand.

Bouncers refused to intervene, Tiffany’s husband Wayne Stevens said. “They’re not throwing her out, because she’s Lindsay Lohan,” he said he was told. “I said, ‘Well, my wife got punched by Lindsay Lohan, I don’t care.’”

Lindsay’s Assistant Begs Her To Get Help

Lindsay’s assistant Gavin Doyle may have been addressing LiLo’s drinking problem when he tweeted, ““@lindsaylohan after bailing you out last night I HOPE and PRAY you get the help you so desperately need.”

Lindsay never reported the stolen bag to the police. She was charged with misdemeanor assault and released with a desk-appearance ticket. She is due back in court on January 11.
