The gorgeous ‘Glee’ star is always picture perfect, but in an attempt to cover a flaw, it seems Lea had a foundation flub! Here, expert tips for concealing any blemish.
Lea Michele, 26, looked so stunning at The Hollywood Foreign Press Association And InStyle Miss Golden Globe 2013 Party on November 29, but there was just one issue: She forgot to blend concealer on her chest!
Celebrity Makeup Artist Julie Tussey of Angelo David Salon in NYC recommends choosing a concealer that’s a shade or two shade darker than your skin tone. “This will help offset blemish discoloration and create consistency.”
Julie also recommends using different concealers for your face and for your body. “Given the face is more exposed to the sun, expect the color difference to emerge,” she says.
To cover blemishes, Julie loves Dermablend Leg and Body Cover SPF 15. Swipe the product on your non-dominant hand as an easel. Dab the concealer brush in the product and apply it to the problem area. Create little strokes, as if you are etching, until the area is covered. For long lasting wear, apply loose powder around the area with a powder brush. Let the concealer sit for a few minutes before using the setting powder. Use the same process when covering blemishes on the body.
