Lindsay’s latest arrest is not considered serious on its own, but top lawyer Roaul Felder says it will have a VERY damaging effect on her upcoming trial in California. Click to read the shocking details!
Lindsay Lohan has once again found herself on the wrong side of the law, as she was arrested for assault in the early hours of Nov. 29 in New York. Lindsay allegedly assaulted Tiffany Eve Mitchell in Avenue nightclub, and she was arrested shortly after and issued a desk ticket by the NYPD. HollywoodLife.com spoke to legal expert Roaul Felde, who says the desk ticket will “cause a problem” for Lindsay. This arrest will have a serious effect on her upcoming trial in California, and it’s now “certain” that Lindsay will be returning to jail!
HollywoodLife.com previously reported that Lindsay, 26, was given a desk ticket after her arrest, and she will appear in the New York Country Criminal Court on Jan. 11. Raoul says that a desk ticket is not a serious form of punishment, and that her court date will merely be a formality.
“A desk ticket the lowest level of crime punishment,” he said. “It’s like getting a traffic ticket. It won’t be a problem — there will be no consequences. She won’t be sent to prison over it. However, it WILL leave her career in tatters.”
While Raoul says that Lindsay’s New York trial in January won’t be an impacted by the arrest, this arrest will do irreparable damage to her upcoming trial in California. Lindsay lied to the Santa Monica police about a driving offense in June while she was on probation, and she is due to appear in court for that crime early next month. Raoul says that her latest offense will do some serious damage to her case.
“The real problem is that now they can bring up this arrest in her California trial, and they could remove her probation,” he said. “She will go to prison. If the prosecution brings up this new arrest, she’s finished.”
