Despite being hammered by critics for her portrayal of Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime Movie ‘Liz & Dick,’ Lindsay says she’s ‘proud’ of her performance and ignoring the negative reviews. Keep reading for all the EXCLUSIVE details!
If anyone knows about being judged, it’s Lindsay Lohan, and while critics are bashing her performance as Liz Taylor, the 26-year-old actress is telling friends she’s “proud and pleased” with how the project turned out.
“She thought it was great and she had a good time filming and working on the project,” a source exclusively reveals to HollywoodLife.com. “Everybody is a critic and she really doesn’t care what anybody says about the movie, at least the negative comments.”
Our source went further, adding: “Nobody can replace Liz, she’s an iconic woman who was so graceful and elegant and there will be only one Elizabeth Taylor!”
“Lindsay did her best and she’s pleased with how everything turned out.”
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, LiLo’s highly anticipated Elizabeth Taylor biopic premiered Nov. 25 on Lifetime — and the critics were less-than-kind to what was supposed to be the actress’ big comeback.
While HollywoodLife.com managed to find “moments of legitimate brilliance” in the film, other reviewers used more colorful phrases like “wobbly” and “absolutely terrible.”
It’s your turn to sound off, HollywoodLifers. Is Lindsay right in ignoring the negative criticism?

She’s right, though. Everybody is a critic, especially behind a computer screen. There’s a difference between expressing an opinion versus being vile. People think it’s cool to hate online. I’m not defending her performance, it was a poor performance. With that being said, people love being mean. I guess it makes them feel better about themselves!

God you people are such enablers, telling ppl they are good when they are not. Maybe if ppl start being real and stop feeding these actors ego, they won’t be found in a hotel overdose on pills or drugs. Obviously, Lindsey Lohan needs to work on herself and her acting. She’s a spoiled, has been who’s personal life is more interesting than her professional.
