Over the years, 14 winners have taken away the top prize and on Nov. 27, a new mirror ball trophy was awarded!
Dancing with the Stars: All Stars‘ has produced some of the best dances EVER this season and now we have a new champion! And the winners are ….
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani! (And I think they deserved it!)
Keep reading for a full recap of the amazing finale!
A Look Back At All The Couples
To kick off the show, all the all stars got a standing ovation to “I’m Back!”
For the judges second time around dance, they wanted to see Shawn, Derek and the Fierce Five for their amazing freestyle from last night.
A funny “Dance Center,” Sports Center spoof gave us a closer look at some of the previously eliminated contestants. It was hysterical!
The Finalists Pick Their “Instant Dances”
Val & Kelly were first up to pick their “instant dance” – they randomly selected jive to “cat & mouse.”
Melissa & Tony picked the samba to “life is a highway.”
Shawn & Derek were left with the cha cha to “repect.” The finalists had only an hour to rehearse!
More Performances From The Eliminated Cast
While they got ready, we were treated to a quick number by Mark & Bristol.
Then, Pam Anderson gave us a hyper sexualized performance, and co-host Tom responded that “usually to see that you need a two drink minimum.”
Then, Chelsie and Helio brought some Italian flair to the show!
Drew brought his daughter Isabella on to the floor for his encore with Anna and got a standing ovation!
The Team Dances Wow Again
After a confessional blooper reel, we got another look at the team dances!
First, “Gangnam Style!” Next up, Joey and Kym performed a time traveling routine with younger versions of “themselves!”
Now, the couple with the most shocking elimination ever (TWICE) – Sabrina and Louis – slowed things down with “Wanted” by Hunter Hayes.
Then, we watched one of the coolest dances of the season – the team dance to “Call Me Maybe.”
Kirstie and Maks danced to Katy Perry‘s “Part Of Me,” followed by Gilles and Peta with their Bollywood routine.
Apolo and Karina slowed it down while their country routine, then Emmitt and Cheryl took things back up a notch with their performance of “Chain of Fools.”
After a “Dance Center” look at the three finalists, we finally got to see the finalists dance the last round — the instant dances!
The Finalists Dance Their Last Dance
Kelly & Val danced first with a good luck video from Ne-Yo! Their jive got a score of 28.5/30 and a total of 87.5/90 from the judges. “You two have the energy of two young randy rabbits! The effect was magnificent!” Bruno purred. Even though Brooke poked around for a definition of their relationship, Kelly said they have a beautiful “friendship” and Val said it was an “unconditional love.”
Melissa and Tony danced the samba for a score of 28.5/30 and a total score of 88.5/90. “You’re turning into a South American siren! These dances are a nightmare to pull off in such a short time and you did a great job,” Bruno said.
Shawn and Derek closed the show with their cha cha for a score of 30/30 and a total score of 87/90. “One thing is for sure, you are going out with a bang. That was perfection!”
And the winners are…Melissa and Tony! Obviously the judges scores, which account for 50% of the total score, played a huge factor! I think America and the judges got it right!
Congrats to everyone on an amazing season!
Are you happy with the outcome, HollywoodLifers?
