Is Angus being punished for speaking out against the show? Find out why Jake will be M.I.A. in the new year.
Half-man Angus T. Jones won’t be appearing in early 2013 episodes of Two and a Half Men, according to The Hollywood Reporter. But before you go crying “conspiracy,” Angus’ absence has nothing to do with the video posted to YouTube on Nov. 26, in which he called the show “filth” and urged viewers to stop tuning in. In fact, producers reportedly have yet to reach out to the 19-year-old star about his rant.
Angus’ character — he plays Jake, the son of Jon Cryer‘s Alan — has only made sparse appearances via Skype this season since enlisting in the U.S. Army, so his absence from the new year’s first few episodes is hardly unusual. Though they’re being filmed after the video’s release, the episodes had already been written long beforehand.
In case you missed out on the fun of Angus’ video, which was a taped testimonial for The Forerunner Chronicles as part of Angus’ new spiritual path, catch up on his rant below:

What a crock. This is so blatantly not an issue – it’s just the latest way to generate a bit of controversy and get some publicity for a show that’s getting a bit long in the tooth.
