Christmas and Thanksgiving have come at once! Rob reveals in an interview that he will be playing the coveted role of Christian Grey in the upcoming ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ film. Would YOU like to see Rob in the role?
Ladies, your prayers have been answered, as Robert Pattinson confirms that he will be starring in the upcoming film Fifty Shades of Grey. Hurrah! Rob will leave behind his familiar role of Edward Cullen from Twilight to step into the shoes of mysterious and dark billionaire Christian Grey, as he says “I am playing that part.”
Rob is one of many actors who has been in the running to play Christian Grey, and as previously reported by HollywoodLife.com, Rob has admitted that he is a fan of the book. However, the novel’s author, E. L. James, has previously said that she didn’t want Rob playing the part. However, Rob seems to disagree with her!
In an interview with MSN, Rob, 26, was asked if he would like to play Christian Grey, and he replied, “I am playing that part,” in a very serious manner. He then began laughing and said, “I also wrote the book.” Oh Rob!
Considering that the characters of Christian and his girlfriend Anastasia Steele are based on Rob and Kristen Stewart‘s Twilight characters, Edward and Bella, they would be perfect to play the parts in the film. However, Rob and Kristen’s Twilight co-star Ashley Greene is in the running to play Anastasia, so Kristen will have steep competition. That could be awkward!
What do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Would you like to see Rob play Christian Grey?

He WASN’T joking – he’s been playing the part of Christian Grey for these OLDER, overly-obsessed Twihards for YEARS now and he KNOWS it, LoL!
Coming out as a BOOK next year!! Stephenie Meyer and her Army of Desperate Housewives: The Twilight Saga Exposed – ALL about how many OLDER Twihards became MORE obsessed than YOUNGER ones and RUINED this pretty fairytale for the girls it was supposedly written FOR! TIME to put blame where it belongs – Stephenie Meyer’s publisher and production company for their professional negligence in accepting and presenting Twilight SO IRRESPONSIBLY with SUCH an addictive, amateur “writing style” AND storyline.
