Daily Mail reporter Hayley Peterson bit off more than she could chew when she wrote about Justin’s fashion faux pas! Justin tweeted her name, and she was forced to endure the wrath of the Believers on Twitter! Did she deserve it?
After Justin Bieber met Prime Minister Stephen Harper on Nov. 24 to accept the Diamond Jubilee award wearing a pair of overalls, he sparked a bit of controversy on the Internet. Daily Mail writer Hayley Peterson wrote about the sartorial snafu, referring to the Biebs as a “white trash prince” — a term that earned her the wrath of both Justin and his fans!
Justin defended himself on Nov. 25, saying, “The pic of me and the Prime Minister was taken in a room in the arena where i was performing at that day. I walked straight from my meet and greet to him, if you “Hayley” expect me to have a change of clothes let a loan a suit at that specific time that’s crazy, It wasn’t like it was like I was going into his environment we were at a hockey arena. Wow am i ever white trash hayley peterson lol.” By sharing her name, he unknowingly set his fans after her.
Hayley wrote a new piece on Monday, Nov. 26, entitled “How I became the most hated woman in the Bieber-verse: The day Justin unleashed his army of fans on MailOnline writer,” detailing the hate sent her way on Twitter! “It was Gawker that branded him ‘white trash prince,’ but that was lost in the fray and not worth clarifying. I had been thrust to the center of the dispute over the appropriateness of Bieber’s overalls, whether I liked it or not,” she wrote.
Her Twitter account and e-mail inbox were deluged with threatening messages, calling her nasty names, ripping her apart.
Do you think Justin’s fans were out of line, considering Hayley wasn’t even the first person to comment on his attire, HollywoodLifers?
