At the conclusion of her ’777′ tour, Rihanna proved what a superstar she really is by hugging all of her fans at the Best Buy meet and greet event in NYC on Nov. 20. So sweet!
Rihanna is officially the sweetest pop star in the world! On the last night of her 777 tour on Nov. 20, she attended a meet and greet with her fans at New York’s Best Buy Theater, where she hugged every single fan — All of them! I was very lucky to be one of the fans at the event, and getting a hug from the pop princess made my year! Her 777 tour may not have received the most positive press, but Rihanna knows what matters, and that is her fans.
Rihanna’s 777 tour saw her hit seven countries in seven days for seven concerts, which is no easy feat! Rihanna had invited 150 journalists to join her on the whirlwind tour, but she barely had any time to talk to them due to her demanding schedule. Needless to say, they were unhappy about it, and Rihanna has received a lot of criticism because of this. However, while Rihanna may have failed to impress the reporters, she seriously impressed her fans.
I attended the meet and greet at the Best Buy theater and after a brief interview, Rihanna invited her fans on stage to meet her and recieve a signed picture of her — she stayed there for over an hour hugging her fans! Rihanna embraced every fan with a big bear hug, and some lucky revelers even got kisses! And though the line was never-ending, Rihanna gave every fan ample time, and she was so personal with each person.
I was so impressed with Rihanna’s attitude. She arrived on time for this event, and she really made it all about her fans. She was so sweet to every person, and the overly emotional ones got extra time with RiRi. I have to add, Rihanna is an awesome hugger!
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Is Rihanna a nice pop star?

This article is BS. I was there and Rihanna looked like she wanted to be anywhere (Barbados, under Chris Brown, her bed) but at the meet & greet. Yes she hugged her fans but it was more like an uncomfortable tap. I love hugs but not hugs that don’t want to be given out. She only did the hugging half the time because by the time the second half got to her she was sitting down behind the table and handing out her already signed booklets like she was being paid minimum wage to hand out flyers in Harlem. How much is Rihanna’s camp paying you to write this? Because she was not on time. Unless you count being 2 hours late as “on time.”
