We weren’t surprised to see Nicki Minaj in an electric yellow hue on the red carpet at the 2012 AMAs — but that wasn’t the first time we saw this frock! In fact, Julie Bowen was the first to show off the Monique Lhuillier gown at the 2012 Emmy Awards.
When you think of Nicki Minaj dressing up for an award show, I’m sure you wouldn’t expect her to walk the red carpet in anything but an outrageous and original get-up. Not only did she rock the same exact dress as Julie, but she opted for blonde locks as well!
The Monique Lhuillier dress is a statement within itself so it doesn’t need much accessorizing. Julie kept it simple with drop earrings and a small clutch, while Nicki stayed true to her larger-than-life style and rocked a large pendant necklace and matching ring, both by Charles Albert.

It looks better on nicki because it fits tightly around her body as she is curvy but with Julie it is just baggy around her waist and chest J
