Dancing with the Stars: All Stars‘ had the most dramatic results show yet on Nov 20 — only three of the remaining five couples made it to the finale show next week. Plus, Paula Abdul performed and The Wanted did a medley of hits! First we saw a breakthrough performance from Parris Goebel — AT&T’s spotlight performance. The young up-and-comer was amazing in her hip-hop dance to Alicia Keys’ “Girl On Fire!”
Then, we were treated to The Wanted, singing “I Found You” and “Glad You Came!”
Shawn & Derek were saved first. Then it was between Melissa & Tony and Apolo & Karina — although both got perfect scores last night, someone had to go home in the ninth week of competition. Unfortunately, Apolo & Karina were sent home!
“This competition was hard from the beginning. Karina is a champion, I’ve learned so much about her, I’ve learned so much about myself. This show is amazing, far beyond just what the mirrorball trophy does for people. Every single person who does this show is a champion because it forces you to become a champion in your own right, become more confident, stronger. Everybody who makes this show happen… I feel great,” Apolo said after he was eliminated.
Next up, we were treated to a fabulous animated and live performance of Paula’s biggest hits!
Then, Derek Hough and four professional dancers wowed the crowd to “Heart cry,” an original song.
Finally, Kelly & Val faced off against Emmitt & Cheryl. Lovebirds Kelly & Val moved onto the finals.
“It’s been a tremendous experience. It’s been a great ride. Season 3 was something else but this takes it over the top. All of these contestants here have pushed me to another level, I’m serious, and I have great appreciation for the show,” Emmitt said before his final bow.
Next week, the final three couples face off for the coveted mirrorball trophy!
