Due to a virus, Robin Roberts spent a week in the hospital. Thankfully, the ‘Good Morning America’ host is back at home, safe and sound, she revealed on the chat show’s Facebook page on Nov. 18.
Robin Roberts shared some good news with the world on Nov. 18 — she’s back home after spending a week in the hospital due to a virus that had not responded to her medication.
Robin, who was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare blood disorder, wrote about her most recent hospital visit.
“Physically I felt fine but being back in the hospital took an emotional toll on me,” Robin wrote on Facebook. “The wonderful doctors, nurses and support staff lifted my spirits. … It was comforting seeing them again.”
According to People, Robin’s sister Sally-Ann, who donated her stem cells for Robin’s bone marrow transplant, flew to New York and interviewed her sister before she was released from the hospital. People reports that the segment will be aired on GMA on Tuesday morning.
We couldn’t be happier to hear that Robin is doing better.
Aren’t you glad Robin is doing better, HollywoodLifers?
