Kristen’s affair with Rupert Sanders nearly destroyed her relationship with Robert Pattinson over the summer, but R-Patz seems to blame ‘Twilight’ for the madness surrounding the cheating scandal.
Kristen Stewart‘s affair with Rupert Sanders caused a firestorm in the media and humiliated Robert Pattinson in the process. However, according to a new interview with Rob, if it weren’t for Twilight, the affair — among other things — wouldn’t have been so hard to deal with.
“There is a price, which you have to pay. You are 24 hours in the job, if you go out in public,” Rob tells Bild regarding the repercussions of starring in a huge franchise like The Twilight Saga.
“You’re trying to protect your life, but at the same time you also rob your life,” Kristen added.
We have to agree. Because Kristen and Rob are dating in real life, the line between their lives and the ones of their characters, Edward and Bella, is blurred. The fact that Robsten has a real life romance only heightens their popularity with the Twilight fans. Unfortunately, as proven by Kristen’s affair, fame is not always full of glitz and glamour.

While I don’t think anyone can blame the Twilight movies for cheating, I understand what he must have meant. Being in the public eye 24/7 because you are part of a huge franchise makes your private life hard to keep private. The lines of professional and private tend to blur thanks to media coverage. Whatever truly is going on between Rob and Kristen as people (not stars) is non of my business and I wish them both the best of luck in their personal and professional endeavors.

Rob as a fan you can’t blame the media or your fans, they didn’t push KS to cheat on you and to be fair you should be thanking your fans for standing by you and you should def thank the media for catching KS cheating because if they hadn’t i bet they’d still be cheating behind your back, and if this happens again only person you can blame is yourself.

I can understand how with 5 years of movies and sharing hotels and homes throughout, the bond that must take place between the 2 of them , but to never experience anything else or other growth in life is foolish–her cheating and him taking her back only proved to her she can do whatever she wants. She knows he is obsessed with her. He is so sweet and thats just not a word anyone would use to describe her with her calling everyone including women a man or dude or dog, giving the finger all the time, swearing all the time–its shocking he finds that attractive.

@hat. Having an affair has a negative impact on all parties involved and I can not help that obsessed KS fans can not handle it. She cheated on all her past and present boyfriends so cheating means nothing to her and she will continue her path of distruction with Rob or the next victim she gets involved with. Twilight isn’t to blame and neither are the fans (most of them). The MEDIA is to blame for the sh!t storm that ensued afterwards. She cheated (supposedly) & she paid the price for it, HEAVILY, and they have BOTH moved on from it, as have the normal fans. The crazy, unstable & highly obssessed, fans and the media are the one’s that cannot seem to move on from it. EVERY SINGLE article that is written about either one of them is laced with crap about something that happened 5 months ago. These are REAL people, NOT the storybook characters that they play on the big screen and they have REAL lives in the REAL WORLD. Sh!t happens in REAL LIFE & people get over it and move on. If the media would STOP CONSTANTLY writing crap about something that happened in the past, others would move on as well. The movie is done and over with, as are the promotional duties – EVERYONE & their mother & brother KNOWS that they ARE IN FACT together and it is NOT a “farce” for the movie. If it was, there would be no “date” nights or pics of them grocery shopping or doing anything else that NORMAL people do in the REAL WORLD. It’s time to cut the sh!t already and let these people FINALLY have SOME sort of peace, privacy, and normalcy in their lives!!!!

You are so right about everything , it’s exactly how I feel. The same women on this site are always here reminding Rob what losers and obsessed Kristen fans they really are cause they can’t let this go and repeat the same cramp over and over on every article HL says even if its BS. Thank The Lord I am not Toni or colds sister and did something like this cause I would seriously have taken a gun and shot myself. is so annoying ,never really get to hear garret speak.i do not much like this last twilight,it jumps from one scene to the other,no details,the fighting scene is the only thing it has nothing else.the sex scene is also rubbish,wonder what the noice is about.i still like the first one and the eclipse. garret is really hot ,truelly. and @go,sorry ,toni was right,rob deserve an award for idiocricy. i also read on the net today ,that rupert will not be directing snow white,so kristen will probably be getting that job soon.thank GOD am not fan of the movie.never watch the first and no need to watch the second. as for rob and kristen ,i felt this is just obsession on robs side and not love.that is not how love work.and i agree with HL on this one—–that obsession of them through the scandal is what really help to sell the movie this time more

No, Twilight is not to blame for the affair between Kristen and Rupert. You might as well say the devil made me do it. It is Kristen’s nature to cheat. She is an immature petulant child who wants what she wants when she wants it. Her behavior in public showed she didn’t even worry about getting caught. She had no idea what the blow back would be. Even her gown at the LA premier displayed the fact that she was a trampire. Unfortunately you can paint a stick gold but it is still a stick. The only thing Twilight did was make it extremely painful and humiliating for Rob when the world found out what an immoral person she is. I just feel very sorry for him because, as the saying goes, once a cheater always a cheater. No one is worth the pain she brought him and the futurre pain she will bring to the relationship.

@trista—well said—————-i felt bad for rob at the premiers—he looked like he wanted to be elsewhere————–when i saw that dress at the l.a. premier i couldnt believe she would be THAT bold after the past few months that she has had—maybe tone it down a bit but like you said she is immature and kristen loves kristen——-just heard she has signed on for the 2nd SWATH w/o rupert—-i am sure that will bring back some memories for her AND rob !!!!!!! i do feel sorry for him—i think he truly loves her but seems like such a nice guy that he doesnt want to hurt her even tho what she did to him was the worst——–if you want to cheat, tell the other person how you feel but dont go out and humiliate him in public—-very very wrong!!!!!
