‘Glee’ was a reunion of sorts during the Nov. 15 episode, however, it was NOT the reunion I had hoped for.
The Nov. 15 episode of Glee was full of raw emotion as Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Rachel (Lea Michele) returned to Lima, Ohio and came face to face with their exes Blaine (Darren Criss) and Finn (Cory Monteith) for the first time since their respective splits. It was certainly painful.
Sue’s New Enemy
Now that Will is leaving McKinley (for a short period of time, don’t worry!), Finn has been appointed to take over as the leader of New Directions. Unfortunately, Sue is not a fan and she’ll pulling out all stops to corrupt Finn’s new glee club, including getting Unique’s parents to pull him out of the school play! (How dare her!) We have a feeling this won’t be the last of Sue V. Finn.
Marley V. Kitty
Kitty continues her reign of terror on Marley, secretly altering her costume in order to make Marley think she’s gaining weight like her mother.
Sadly, due to Kitty’s jerky behavior, Marley tries forcing herself to throw up. On a positive note, Ryder comes to her rescue and reveals that he’d like to kiss her in the future, but doesn’t want to smell throw up on her breath. (So sweet?)
Kurt & Rachel’s Return
Kurt coerces a reluctant Rachel to return to Lima in order to show their friends support as they put on the school play, a rendition of Grease. Kurt is driven by the fact that he misses Blaine and wants to see him. Ms. July (Kate Hudson) eavesdrops and insists that Rachel go home to see her ex. (She has other plans in mind while Rachel is away.)
Upon Rachel and Kurt’s return, they awkwardly run into Blaine and Finn. Their interaction is short, but definitely emotional.
During the show, we see glimpses of Brody sleeping with Ms. July, Rachel’s memories of her love with Finn, and sweet moments from the production of Grease.
The most poignant scenes come at the end when Rachel finds out that her new college beau is sleeping with her instructor. Upon hearing the news, Rachel is driven to tears. Finn sees this and realizes his relationship with Rachel is really over.
Tears that were once reserved for him were being shed for another man. Ouch.
Kurt then talks to Blaine but admits that no matter the details of Blaine’s hookup with another man, he’s still tremendously hurt.
Kurt and Rachel agree that Lima is no longer their home.
What did YOU think of tonight’s episode, HollywoodLifers?

The increasing waist size story line was incredibly stupid and insulting to the viewer… would the Marley character not notice that only her show costumes were getting tighter and not her clothing from home? You know – jeans and skirts from her closet? Duh!
