A twenty-year-old man is in police custody after his mother notified authorities claiming her son was plotting to kill moviegoers who would have attended a ‘Breaking Dawn: Part 2′ screening on November 18 in Bolivar, Mo.
On November 16, Blaec Lammers was charged with first-degree assault, making a terroristic threat and armed criminal action after he allegedly bought assault rifles and more than 400 rounds of ammunition in a plot to kill audience members at a Breaking Dawn: Part 2 screening.
Luckily, his plans failed because his own mother told police on November 15 that Blaec purchased weapons similar to those used by a gunman inside an Aurora, CO, movie theater showing the premiere of the latest Batman movie. On that tragic, early Friday morning of July 20, twelve people died and 58 were injured.
“His mother further stated that, with the opening of the new Twilight movie, she was concerned that Blaec Lammers may have intentions of shooting people at the movie,” the court documents obtained by KCTV 5 news in Kansas City read.
Currently detained in police custody, Blaec admits he bought firearms with the intention of shooting up the movie theater and then continuing at a nearby Walmart. Court documents also state that the deranged man had been practicing using the weapons at a nearby shooting range.
Blaec is in custody and being held on a $500,000 bond.
