‘Breaking Dawn’ Earns $30.4 Million Opening Night — Breaks Records

The fifth and final installment of the ‘Twilight’ series raked in $30.4 million solely from Thursday 10 PM and Friday midnight showings! Wow!

Breaking Dawn Part 2 is finally in theaters, and not surprisingly, it’s dominating the box office. The film has already earned over $30.4 million from Thursday 10 PM and Friday midnight shows in over 3,000 theaters, according to HollywoodLife.com sister site Deadline.com.

The final installment of the epic vampire franchise opens in 4,070 theaters across the U.S. today and many are wondering whether ticket sales will surpass Breaking Dawn Part 1′s $138.1 million first weekend tally in U.S. and Canada.
