Justin Bieber isn’t going to let his split with Selena Gomez keep him from attending the American Music Awards on Nov. 18. The pop star was originally slated to sit next to Selena at the A-list event, but now that they’ve broken up, she’s pulled out of the ceremony entirely!
Though we’re sure Justin wouldn’t have had any trouble filling Selena’s empty seat (he could have even invited a fan!), the singer decided to ask the one woman that’s always been by his side — his mom!
“@pattiemallette miss u. love u. wanna be my date this weekend?” Justin tweeted on Nov. 15.
We hope she says yes!
