I think the book is way better than the movie to. I know they changed stuff in every one of the movies but this last one was way way different, so I know exactly what Kimberly is saying. And that lovey feeling just isn’t there. I can’t say I hated the movie but I agree that Condon didn’t do the book justice. It was just missing something for me.

i totally disagree with number 1.)”The ending leaves the door open for more potential sequels or spinoffs.”

For those of you who haven’t seen the movie yet, don’t worry your not missing anything special. Well your not if your a fan of the books. The movie people who don’t know how it was really written will probably like it. But for all of us who know what it was meant to be it was horrible. And its not the actors. Its the idiotic direction. This directors vision for this movie was completely wrong. I said it about the first part as well and should have know better than to shell out 15 bucks for a premier ticket, but what can I say, I’m a Twilight junkie. There was just so much that was different or just plain wrong with movie that it was almost laughable. And I don’t mean because of the pointless humor the director thought he’d throw in. There were lines in the movie that were said by people in the book then said by someone else in the movie, for no reason. J. Jenkins is a pitiful white guy in the book and a black guy in the movie. In the book Bella figures out what Alice was trying to tell her and sets up everything through Jenkins and in the movie Jasper had everything done. In the book Bella has to work on using her shield and learn how to control it. In the movie its one short scene where someone says shes a shield and she just learns to use it in seconds. In the book theres a moment when Bella and Edward are talking during the first time they have sex as vampires and Bella asked him if he misses anything about her being human. If they would have left that in that scene would have been sooo much better. There is a part in the book right before the THINK they are going to fight the voltori when everyone is sort of saying their goodbyes in case the die and Eward and Bella are saying goodbye to Jacob and Renessme. Its one of my favorite scenes in the book. Mostly because Jacob cries as a wolf, and Edward is saying he accepts Jacob, he calls him his son. It should have stayed. It was just crappy direction. Condon butchered the last movie. Even just the feeling of love that should definetly be in this movie because it is a LOVE story just isn’t there. And I wasn’t the only one complaining. Thought the movie people complained and on the way out of the theater people were actually angry. SAD SAD ending for such a wonderful story.

@kimbery – My God, stop crying already and grow up! I saw the movie last night and thought it was great. They couldn’t possibly put every little tiny detail you mentioned in it other wise it would be slow and LONG. No movie from a book is going to include everything and sometimes they have to move some things around to keep the flow going. Bill Condon did an amazing job on everything

First of all KC, this is my opinion and I’m entitled to it. Secondly I believe if your going to make a movie from a book then your doing it because the book is extremely popluar. So it stands to reason there would be no reason to change the movie. I don’t care if they had kept this movies low budget, they still would have been a hit just because they were already loved before they ever hit the screen. And for a lot of us all those “little” details are what makes the series. And if they hadn’t tried to rewrite so much of the movie, like that rediculous fight scene there would have been plenty of time for all those moments. Bottom line, if your going to shoot a movie based on a book, use the book.

OMG you are soooo right. This movie was a horrible interruptation of the book. I was so disappointed. As a matter-of-fact at least half the theater was. I won’t be seeing it again. The book is way better in this case. But loved the other movies.

Truth is Kimberly you cant honestly follow the book page by page timeline wise its not possible, Stephanie Meyer was a producer on the film, They strayed here and there and left out this and that, As it is they turned this one book into two films, They probably couldnt keep anymore in than they did and had to shorten alot of scenes. I personally thought It was well done, the fight scene was great and had me in tears until i realized it was not what i thought it was. The book was better but the movie was good in its own right.

Your right about how they can’t follow the book page for page, but in all fairness kimberly was right to. This movie was just way to far off the mark. I probably would have liked the movie in its own right but in this case there was a book to be followed. A book millions of people love. I agree that they shouldn’t have changed and left out so much.

I have to totally agree with Kimberly on this one. I’m a huge twihard and this last movie did not have the same feel as all the others. It was definetly the direction and it just left to much out. Of course we all know they can’t put in everything but some of the things she mentioned should have been left in or unchanged. Thats the whole point of making a movie from a book. They should be pretty close. I was sadly disappointed.
