Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are back together and seemingly stronger than ever, but there still some cynics who believe that the romance is a marketing ploy for the impending release of Breaking Dawn Part 2. In a new interview with The Washington Post, Rob set the record straight!
Rob, 26, was asked by the publication what his response was to critics who believed that his romantic relationship with Kristen, 22, was being used to market the Twilight films. His response:
“[Pauses, then laughs] For one thing, it would be a terrible marketing tool, and it’s not utilized very well at all. People will say anything. I’m still amazed that people even believe anything [that’s said about us]. I mean, it’s one of the craziest things about the whole situation, where you can see the whole — is paradigm the right word? — of celebrity gossip, celebrity culture type stuff that’s literally entirely made up. There’s a story line. You have a set character and your story line is written for you. And it doesn’t matter what you do. I talked to Reese Witherspoon about it a while ago, and she was the person who really told me, you get given a character. I mean, I’ve literally tried to do things to throw people off, and it just doesn’t get printed.”

It’s amazing how this situation took place months ago but is being talked about as if it were just found out about hours ago…..as I have said before if they were not in the public eye no one would give a hoot about who did what to whom with whoever.We all have a right to our privacy and being famous does not exclude them from their right to privacy.As a twilight fan hearing the news in the beginning was heart breaking but as I am not an overly obsessed fan that is a stalker I do believe they could get on with their private personal lives if people would just mind their own business…think about how well you would like never being able to shop;eat;kiss;hug…do anything in public without pictures and misinterpretations of such being splattered all over entertainment tonight and rag Mag’s…..Be happy and enjoy the the life and privacy you have and pray that some day someone will get the hint and allow stars the same respect.Appreciate and respect their talents and get on with your lives.As long as these over obsessed people keep buying the magazines and giving ratings to programs talking about these personal things it will never end…..Thank you for your talents and the joy you have brought to me through portraying the characters you have….I wish you best of luck in your future endeavors public as well as private…God bless you and be with you both.
