
Mitt was not elected the 45th President of the United States, but for a brief moment, the internet declared otherwise.
If the Massachusetts Governor had been elected during the Nov. 6 voting process, Mitt Romney’s website would have been immediately updated to reflect his new position as the new President of the United States. The transition website was built ahead of time and would have gone live shortly after the vote had gone Mitt’s way. As we already know, Mitt was not elected, but the website still went live.
A draft of the website went live on Wednesday, briefly appearing online on a server for Utah software company SolutionStream.
“I’m excited about our prospects as a nation. My priority is putting people back to work in America,” Mitt said in a quote on the site’s home page.
The site was quickly taken down, but Taegan Goddard of PoliticalWire.com took screenshots.

Amazing that even under such difficult economic times, even then, Mitt Romney was so disliked that all of America rejected him, except the conservative stalwarts of the south and of course Utah (go figure). Here’s why he lost:
