Rob says he’s very familiar with E.L. James’ erotic novel, which was inspired by ‘Twilight!’ Should he play Christian Grey?

The Breaking Dawn: Part 2 director Bill Condon has credited Robert Pattinson for making the sex scenes romantic and “erogenous” in the final Twilight film, and now we know where Rob got his inspiration! In a candid interview with MTV’s Josh Horowitz, Rob admits that he has read the famous novel 50 Shades of Grey.

In a fun interview posted on MTV.com on Nov. 7, Rob admitted he has read the erotic novel.

“I’ve read a bit of the Fifty Shades of Grey one,” he said. “Before it was Fifty Shades … [it was] Masters of the Universe!” Rob then made a a cheeky wink at the camera, as he implied that Fifty Shades is based on Masters.

Rob has been rumored to be the top choice to play Fifty Shades of Grey‘s protagionist Christian Grey, and considering that he has admitted that he is “panicky” about Twilight ending, it might be the perfect time to jump into a new film franchise!

What do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Is Rob a good choice to play Christian?

Why can’t you just accept he did good without claiming a book showed him how to ‘be good’?

Fifty shades of grey is actually a Twilight fanfiction. The characters like Christian and Ana are definitely described as Edward and Bella. Like their hair colour or eyes colour you know. Hairstyle or face shape or whatsoever. I think rob and kristen are really suitable to star in it.
Either both of them or none of them alright. It can’t be only one of them star in fifty shades. If it’s okay, I would prefer them both. Or if not, just forget about them and find the other stars. They would be a good pairing if they work together.
I think rob and kristen should do this movie together.. Hmm..it’s my point of view anyways.

Have read all three books story line not only Twilight but has theme from Pretty Woman and Nikita (original version with Roy Dupuis) lines taken from them as originally spoken and some mannerisms but can’t get my head around where “laters baby ” comes from is that the only original piece of writing in it. I think R and K could play lead parts very successfully but doubt they would want to do another franchise anyway how they could stretch these books into three ,possibly two at most as it could become extremely boring.Dont think any well known actors should take these parts give some one else a chance ,none of Grey books will stand the test of time as Twilight so film will be a 5 minute wonder anyway.

I agree EL James wrote the books based on Edward and Bella. So Rob would make a great Christian Grey and Kristen would make a great Ana Steele. Kellan Lutz could play Elliot Grey, Ashley Greene could play Mia Grey, Peter Facinelli could play Carrick Grey, Elizabeth Reaser could play Grace Trevellyan Grey, Jackson Rathbone could play Ethan Kavanagh, Nikki Reed could play Katherine Kavanagh, Taylor Lautner could play Jose Rodriguez, Billy Black could play Ray Steele, Ana’s stepfather, Gil Birmingham could play Jose Rodrigues Senior, Sarah Clark could play Ana’s mother and the guy that plays Phil in Twilight could play Bob Ana’s mother’s 4th husband. If you have read the books you can see that everyone in the books are similar to the people in Twilight. It is a shame she won’t cast Rob or Kristen in the roles especially when she has said that she wrote the books based on Edward and Bella. They are also the right age. You can’t cast someone in the roles older than what the people in the book are – how stupid is that.

This trilogy is originally a Twilight fanfic and I think that rob and kristen should work in this movie.
I don’t think there are any stars that suitable for the characters, Christian and Ana. Since the characters’ characteristics are really based of edward and bella. It would be weird if some other stars played Christian and Ana.

Fifty Shades of Grey was indeed a Twilight fanfiction story called Master of the Universe. Too funny that he read some of it. Wonder if he’s read any others?

I think Rob and Kristen would be absolutely perfect for 50 Shades, especially Rob for Christian. Why the crazy author wouldn’t consider anyone from Twilight is beyond me. She has missed a wonderful chance and the movie would be a smash with them in it. He and Kristen have milion of fans worldwide. There are other actors from Twilight who would fit roles in the books. What about Kellan for Elliott and his lovely blonde “Rosalie” for Ana’s friend. I could go on and on.
