Rob says he’s very familiar with E.L. James’ erotic novel, which was inspired by ‘Twilight!’ Should he play Christian Grey?

The Breaking Dawn: Part 2 director Bill Condon has credited Robert Pattinson for making the sex scenes romantic and “erogenous” in the final Twilight film, and now we know where Rob got his inspiration! In a candid interview with MTV’s Josh Horowitz, Rob admits that he has read the famous novel 50 Shades of Grey.

In a fun interview posted on MTV.com on Nov. 7, Rob admitted he has read the erotic novel.

“I’ve read a bit of the Fifty Shades of Grey one,” he said. “Before it was Fifty Shades … [it was] Masters of the Universe!” Rob then made a a cheeky wink at the camera, as he implied that Fifty Shades is based on Masters.

Rob has been rumored to be the top choice to play Fifty Shades of Grey‘s protagionist Christian Grey, and considering that he has admitted that he is “panicky” about Twilight ending, it might be the perfect time to jump into a new film franchise!

What do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Is Rob a good choice to play Christian?
