Oh no! Taylor Swift has come under fire for allegedly stealing a Matt Nathanson lyric from 2003 and using it in her song ‘All Too Well,’ a track on her new album ‘Red.’ Do YOU think Taylor would do that?

Taylor Swift, 22, is known for her amazing song lyrics, but now, singer Matt Nathanson, 39, is accusing Taylor of stealing a line he wrote back in 2003 in his song called “I Saw.”

He tweeted, and later deleted, on Oct. 24, “she’s definitely a fan… and now she’s a thief.”

The blog Oh No They Didn’t! pointed out the similar lyrics on Oct. 31, adding, “I wouldn’t think much about it normally except for the fact that she is a fan of his…she has written HIS lyrics on her arm at her concerts before [during her Speak Now tour].”

Matt went back to his Twitter on Nov. 2, saying, “so far, my favorite thing about today is the wave of @taylorswift13 fans calling me a prick on twitter for writing “i saw” in 2003.”

Matt sings in 2003′s “I Saw’ — “and I’ll forget about you long enough to forget why I need to.”

Taylor’s 2012 song “All Too Well” goes like this: “and I forget about you long enough to forget why I needed to.”

HollywoodLife.com has reached out to their reps and is awaiting comment.

What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Is it a coincidence or did Taylor steal Matt’s lyrics?

Okay really so everything she does is always wrong isn’t it so what even if she did USE(not steal) his lyrics that should be taken as a huge compliment it means she liked his lyrics and if she didn’t if doesn’t matter she can do what she wants so stop freaking making up lies.STUPID PUBLICITY!!!!!

The whole song WAS stolen by a friend of mine who use to webcam taylor swift, also 22, stay stay stay and state of grace for a cpl of examples. I owned all the songs before she even brought em out. I used to like taylor swift but stealing is wrong and in thw end it will be Austin that will get the money he is owed. Scooter forged his signature saying that he could have the songs. Austin did give Taylor swift 1 song which was I Knew You Were Trouble, although he is allowed to sing it on stage whenever he wants and doesnt have to make any note of her name at all. My sister also wrote a book the scooter was supposed to help her to get published but due to everything thats happened with them that didnt end up happening. Over half the songs on taylors new album were not hers, Sweet tea and Gods graces was written by not only austin bt my sister also. So i am outraged by all of this bt it is currently in process of gettn sorted. Once her latest album is completly sold from shops there will b no more to b allowed sold and the money that is owed will b repaid to right people.

It’s not like she stole the whole song. Even though I don’t like Swift, I can see this happening without the intention of “stealing”. If we started reading every lyric ever written by every artist, we would find so many identical lines. But only the famous and successful ones get sued. I am against plagiarism, but this case is just ridiculous.
