Taylor Swift Shatters Records: 'Red' Sells 1.2 Million Copies In First Week

Taylor’s ‘Red’ has already become the third best-selling album of 2012!

Is there anything Taylor Swift can’t do? Not only does the country cutie rip several of her ex-boyfriends to shreds on her new album, Red, but she’s also managed to blow her competitors out of the water! Billboard reports that in its first week alone, Taylor’s album sold more than 1.2 million copies, giving it “the best sales week for any album in over a decade.”

Also impressive: Red debuted at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 and Billboard Country Album charts. Two more huge victories for Ms. Swift!

We’d love to know what Kanye West thinks about Taylor’s record-setting album sales. We’re sure he’s thrilled.
