Jacob & Renesmee In ‘Breaking Dawn’: Taylor Lautner Defends Romance

After years spent pining over Bella (Kristen Stewart) in the Twilight saga, Jacob (Taylor Lautner) finally finds love in Breaking Dawn Part 2 — with Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella’s daughter, Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy). But in a new interview, Taylor swears won’t be weirded out by their May-December romance. In fact, he says the final Twilight movie gives Jacob a chance to redeem himself!

“To achieve what I wanted in my acting, I had to tell myself that [Jacob and Renesmee] shared … a friendly, unalterable relationship,” he tells France’s Melody Times. “I think fans will be very pleased with the result.

As for Jacob’s ‘reinvention,’ Taylor says he thinks Twi-hards will love the werewolf’s new persona.

“Until now, there was only one goal in [Jacob's] life: to be with Bella,” Taylor explains. “But now, he’s finally happy!”

I watched the movie tonight, it was OK. (That pic above, by the way, isn’t even IN the movie??) I wanted to actually see more of their relationship once she matured. It wasn’t GROSS, he didn’t feel romantic love for her as an infant, don’t be ridiculous. He was just a protector and friend.

Oh Dear Lord! Really? If the writer of this article knew absolutely anything about Twilight they would know just how rediculous that sounds. Jacob describes imprinting to Bella in one of the other books/movies. It isn’t all about romantic love. After imprinting Jacob would be what ever the person he imprinted on needed. Whether it was a protector, friend or big brother. Now I realize why I rarely read these inane articles.

It’s discusting I mean She’s gonna grow up and marry him so he will be Bella and Edwards son yuck……”pedophile”.

The media is doing its work looking for to create scandals and conflicts as usual. I like how the imprinted thing is described in the book, it’s like a magic. Taylor is great! I just saw him on youtube Jay Leno interview and he is adorable, funny and cool.

Oh for god sake grow up people! Its only a movie…The love he shares for Nessie, is pure clean, and innocent…Only minds that think different have other thoughts on there mind! Can’t there be a clean thought through this? Really!…He has a love, that is as protector, friendship, etc. at this point, why make it anything other than that, its only a story, If you read the book, you would know this. Lets leave this one alone, don’t we all have enough crap in our lives and world.Time to get away from all that and enjoy the world authors like Stephanie has given us. Thank you Stephanie, its been fun, and I’ve read all your books and looking forward to more.

Yes, it is a strange part of the story and touches on something that is entirely different from anything I have read about before. But, just remember people, it is only a story, dreamed up by an author with a vivid imagination. Apparently it isn’t something that they have any control over. It changes the whole dynamic of the story because it forces the werewolves and the good vampires to become allies. I loved the way Stephenie brought it all together in her last book.

It’s still an eww thing since he imprinted on her when she was a newborn baby. You don’t pick out your lover at that stage, and since you couldn’t have her mama. He said his people’s genes tells them they are happy since being imprinted on and he didn’t like that, but then he did it. Kid never stood a chance. I still love my Jacob though.

Oh, I think this is very weird. Instead of us all growing up, Reneesme is the one who should grow up first before Jacob even gets interested. Gross.

@anonymous – Did the media move on with the Brad/Angelina/Jennifer mess? It’s been 7 years on that triangle and it’s still dredged up in one degree or another. If Rob has taken her back, he better be prepared for the scandal to be thrown in his face for YEARS to come.
