Lamar Odom and the Los Angeles Clippers start their NBA season at home tonight on Halloween. And has learned EXCLUSIVELY the scary details that he is still not in shape to play!

Lamar Odom has been given a second chance to perform at an elite level in the NBA with the Los Angeles Clippers after his disastrous last season with the Dallas Mavericks, but a source close to the baller has addressed concerns that he is out of shape and still not ready to play!

A source close to the Clippers tell EXCLUSIVELY, “Lamar said he was ready to play but he is really out of shape, so the amount of time he plays is going to be limited at best. He’ll spend plenty of time on the bench,” adding, “It is the responsibility of the player getting paid millions of dollars to come in ready for the season, the coaching staff can only do so much during practices and training camp to get the players in proper game shape. These men are adults getting paid to play a game they love. So the training staff has done its part, the player has to do their part. Whether you are a rookie or a veteran like Lamar, everyone who plays in the NBA understands what is done and what needs to be done.”

Lamar also mentioned to ESPN, “I feel good; I still know how to play.” He continued, “For the record, I think I’ll be the Lamar of 2010. People keep saying, ‘What Lamar are you going to get?’ Let’s see, 2000 I was on the All-Rookie Team, I was Sixth Man of the Year, my year in Miami was pretty good. When I look at my resume, I see some really solid stuff. … Hopefully, I’ll be the Lamar of 2010, not Dallas Lamar, the old Lamar.”

So for this season, Lamar has missed two weeks of practice and the Clippers’ past five preseason games while he recovers from bone bruises in his knees and getting himself back in shape after coming into training camp overweight. His last playing time was in Shanghai on Oct. 15, when the Clippers beat the Miami Heat 99-89. He had four points, three assists and two rebounds in 20 minutes off the bench.

So HollywoodLifers, which Lamar Odom do you think the Clippers will get this season? Sound off below!
