In what may be the biggest movie surprise of all time, George Lucas and gang have announced the next Star Wars that will be released in theaters in 2015!

Regardless of how we all feel about the latest Star Wars films and all the awful thoughts of Jar Jar Binks, the legendary series has a place in all of our hearts. Now Disney and Lucasfilm are continuing the franchise with an announced Episode 7 which is maybe the biggest surprise and well kept secret in the history of film!

Disney has completed the purchase of Lucasfilm and in the press release a very interesting nugget of information has been released that will make fanboys be giddy in anticipation as it mentions, “[New Lucasfilm president Kathleen] Kennedy will serve as executive producer on new Star Wars feature films, with George Lucas serving as creative consultant. Star Wars Episode 7 is targeted for release in 2015, with more feature films expected to continue the Star Wars saga and grow the franchise well into the future.”

George added, “For the past 35 years, one of my greatest pleasures has been to see Star Wars passed from one generation to the next. It’s now time for me to pass Star Wars on to a new generation of filmmakers. I’ve always believed that Star Wars could live beyond me, and I thought it was important to set up the transition during my lifetime. I’m confident that with Lucasfilm under the leadership of Kathleen Kennedy, and having a new home within the Disney organization, Star Wars will certainly live on and flourish for many generations to come. Disney’s reach and experience give Lucasfilm the opportunity to blaze new trails in film, television, interactive media, theme parks, live entertainment, and consumer products.”

One thing to note, a film of this magnitude will get the entire A-List community out in droves, as everyone will want to be a part of the franchise that has defined generations. So it will be very interesting to see if HollywoodLife favorites Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart would be a part of such an amazing film. Only time will tell.

Unquestionably believe that which you stated.
Your favorite reason seemed to be on the internet the
simplest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while people think about worries that they just
don’t know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and defined out the whole thing without having side effect
, people can take a signal. Will probably be back to get more.
Thanks

Now that will be really something. I hope they get real talent, not the Hollywood simpletons. To Bad they killed of Christopher Hayden. He was super in Star Wars. Harrison Ford would be great,he seems to have aged well.

Oh dear Lord, please keep those expressionless teenage twits out of Star Wars!
On a side note, the Star Wars canon includes many stories that take place after episode VI. If it is done correctly, it could be epic.
But please keep Kristen Stewart away. She couldn’t act her way out of a paper bag.

This is not a good thing, at all. Star Wars was meant to be a sequel trilogy then a prequel trilogy as it is now. Also there is nowhere the seventh movie can go. The ending to the sixth defeated the empire and that was the end of it. Making a seventh and with Disney is the worst idea film as ever seen. I just don’t think something so great should be touched anymore.

Oh my God! We love you George! Wow, you really shocked the hell out of us in a great way. Disney, the pressure is on to make GREAT Star Wars films. But, thank you for taking on the challenge. Make us love you for it. If you do……you will make countless billions more than you can imagine. Make them GREAT!

Since the entire Star Wars Expanded Universe has been pretty much completely written up to 40 years after the end of Episode 6, I can say I will be utterly outraged if Disney tries to change the story line (even in the slightest).

If they stick closely to the story, it has the potential to be something very special for Star Wars fans…

However, it also has the potential to severely piss off A LOT of people.
