Emily Maynard Becomes Ricki's Soccer Coach In Jef Holm's Absence

Off the bench and onto the field! In the wake of her separation from Jef, Emily has stepped in as daughter Ricki’s soccer coach.

Emily Maynard is officially a soccer mom! On Oct. 27, she posted a photo of her and Ricki with the caption “Last minute coaching from the mom who has never played soccer in her life #soccermom.” Before she and Jef Holm broke up, Jef had coached Ricki’s soccer team, a role that Emily has now taken over.

Since Emily, 26, and Jef, 28, split up, Emily has gone to great lengths to make sure Ricki is not affected by the separation by cutting things off gradually with Jef. Emily and Ricki even met up with Jef for a shopping trip to the mall. Meanwhile, Jef has been very respectful of Ricki’s feelings, and has denied offers to do a tell-all interview.

Ricki, 7, plays soccer on an all-girls team called the Green Beans, which Jef used to coach; and many of the girls were upset when he left. And now Emily has stepped into his shoes to offer Ricki words of wisdom before her big game.

Way to go Emily! Even if she has never played soccer before, it’s great that she is trying to help her daughter when she needs it.
