Daniel Craig will star in his third James Bond movie, ‘Skyfall.’ The hunky actor looks ridiculously good as Bond, especially as he ages, but it’s only practical to wonder who the next Bond, James Bond may be.

It seems as though we get a new James Bond every few years. Daniel Craig is our eighth Bond to date (before him was Pierce Brosnan), which means it’s only right to start making assumptions about which star will fill the shoes of the suave James Bond next — Skyfall star Naomie Harris has quite the recommendation!

Idris Elba was allegedly going to replace Daniel, when the time came, making him the first African American to play James Bond, according to CinemaBlend.com. Idris made it clear last fall that he was more than willing to take on the role — if it was offered to him.

Naomie reportedly told The Huffington Post that Idris was in talks to take on the role.

“I didn’t realize that there was this talk and then I did a film with Idris [Elba] and he said that he met Barbara Broccoli [James Bond producer] and that it does seem like there is a possibility in the future that there could very well be a black James Bond. And I would have to vote for Idris because I just finished working with him and he’s a great guy,” Naomie said.

CinemaBlend.com also reports that Idris has met with a producer who has worked on EVERY Bond film since 1987’s The Living Daylights. Of course, this doesn’t mean he is definitely getting the part, but it sounds like he’s a strong contender!

We must note, however, Daniel has signed on for at least two more Bond films following Skyfall. While we would love to see a black James Bond, it may be a few years before that becomes a reality.

We wouldn’t mind seeing Idris play Bond, would you, Hollywoodlifers?
