Felicia Garcia, 15, was driven to suicide after a group of classmates relentlessly tormented her over her sexual encounters at a high school party. The tragic death came just days after she posted a cry for help on Twitter.

Felicia Garcia, 15, was so fed up by being bullied and harassed at school, she threw herself in front of an oncoming train after school at Huguenot Staten Island Railway on Oct. 24 — while horrified classmates watched.

Just days before, Felicia tweeted a photo of her face bloodied and bruised, with the caption, “I can’t. I’m done. I give up,” on Oct. 22.

Felicia was reportedly being tormented by a group of Tottenville High School football players who bragged about their sexual encounters with the freshman girl.

“Kids are saying she had sex with some guys from the football team at a party after the game,” a friend who wished to remain anonymous said told the New York Daily News. “Later on, they wouldn’t leave her alone about it. They just kept bullying her and bullying her.”

Earlier on Oct. 24, school officials held a mediation session with Felicia and one of the 17-year-old boys after they heard of the reported bullying. The older student denied any involvement.

Felicia ran into another of the older boys after leaving the office and exchanged words — and later that day, the troubled 15-year-old killed herself in front of a group of classmates. Sources say Felicia’s life was already marked by tragedy. She was living with a foster family, including a chronic runaway.

Police are now investigating the tragic suicide, and are questioning students involved in harassing her, as well as combing through her social media accounts for clues.

What a tragic story. Our thoughts are with Felicia’s family. What do YOU think of the story HollyMoms?

@jack,i totally agree with you.i mean i live in europe now for some years and some years back bullying was a serious problem here too ,untill the govt. really got serious about it and got involved. is not that it no longer happen here but ,it gets a little less because the bullies knows they can loose their future when they are caught.this is totally hell for any parent.most parents do raise their kids well, but ,the media and the internet has become like evil parents to kids these days.i wish kids will understand the impact bullying has on those who are bullied.i wish someone was there for her.it is really heart breaking.they have to really get serious about bullying there at home,if not is never going to stop or slow down.talking with bullies does not really help ,but action and serious consequences do help.am a paediatrician now and i know how many kids that come in ,with complains that emanates from bullying..i pray for strength for her parents.

Here here. I agree. There has to be someone who knows who it was, but are probably too scared to say, since maybe nothing will happen to bullies, or a “slap on the wrist,” so to speak…

I live near the school where tonight “hundreds held a memorial service in her honor”. Where were these hundreds to come to her defense when she was being bullied? We’re the bullies amongst the mourners? Bullies nor there parents will listen because at least one or both parents are bullies as well. I wish she knew what a beautiful girl she was. I was bullied and it does get better. When you are 13, 14 and 15 it seems like it never will. Teens, adults, please reach out to a friend, a stranger…anyone. Please don’t ever find a permanent answer to a temporary situation. RIP Felicia Diaz. there are no bullies in Heaven.

You can’t just sit down with bully and talk with them once and think that’s going to fix the problem. You have to take action, because bullys don’t listen to words, unless it’s their own. That poor girl, I hope those bullies now understand the consequences of their actions.

That’s incredibly terrible, yes she had foster parents, but they are business themselves with other kids. She never had any real one on one attention. Like a good mom or dad who probably say screw this we can put you in a private school and see how that goes. I don’t know why kids have become so damn mean.

Breaks my heart! Poor angel..to be so tormented and humiliated to the point of taking your young life is so tragic. Thoughts and prayers to her family. If these individuals have any conscious at all this will haunt them for the rest of their days. Bullying has to stop!!!! RIP Felicia.

I was going to say didn’t her parents notice a change in her, than read she was in a foster home. Well say know more,Big problem in this so called foster parent program. I think the poor thing just wanted to loved, and these slime balls took advantage of a sweet pretty girl and nobody was paying attention( like teachers,so called foster parents, And her friends. Wake Up are we not listening to our children. I think she could have been saved if someone really cared, And the school should bring charges against these cowards. and they should ckeck out the foster parents too.

I think that they students who bullied her need to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law as well as their parents. People need to take responsibility for their words and actions, they do have consequences good and bad.

Poor girl. She was a beauty. It’s so sad that sometimes people just need a reaching hand and just someone to care for them, maybe she would’ve still been with us today. Bullies are murderers. They should get an appropriate action for what they are doing. RIP Felicia
