Emily’s daughter Ricki is reportedly having a tough time dealing with Em and Jef’s split! Do YOU think they should have stayed together?

Poor Ricki! Emily Maynard is reportedly so concerned about how the breakup is hurting her seven-year-old daughter, that she’s cutting things off with Jef Holm gradually, according to a new report.

“Emily is very concerned that Ricki will be traumatized,” a source tells Life & Style magazine. “She’s trying to keep everything as normal as possible for Ricki, but Emily regrets bringing Jef into their lives.”

Emily, 26, was hesitant to introduce her daughter to the 28-year-old entrepreneur from the start, but caved near the series finale! Now, after not even making it a year, Emily is reportedly kicking herself for ever thinking that their relationship could work out. But in the meantime, she’s trying to make the split as painless as possible for little Ricki.

“Emily has always been protective of Ricki,” a source tells the mag. “All she wants to do is focus on her and try to make this all go away.”

Hmm! What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Do YOU think Emily should ease Jef out of her life to make it easier on Ricki– or cut him out completely? Weigh in below.

This is bullsh!t, Emily Effing Maynard. Did you say the same thing about regretting introducing Brad to Ricki too. How many times can you regret getting engaged in your life?

Right. Best to let love happen one day, be content and happy with singleness. A happy single person will be a happy married person. “Happiness is like a butterfly: the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder…”– Thoreau

I’d like to leave EMILY with some words of wisdom, i’M 56 AND MY WIFE IS 52. We got married very early,37 years ago this april you do the math.and NO we DIDN’T HAVE TO GET MARRIED BUT WE LOVE EACH OTHER!!!! EMILY, if I can give you any wisdom Figure yourself out before you try to find out what love is.I’VE WATCHED THE BACHELOR. Both episodes with you there. You seem to be a very nice person, but the baggage you carry is termendous, Know in your heart WHY marriage is or should be some that has to happen the way it does. I mean if your so set on getting married find someone without the tv shows.I personnaly don’t like the odds even before you start. 2 or 3 couples out of how many have gotten married? I think if love is to be it Will find you.

Agree with you there. Emily needs to unload the baggage she is carrying.

Great pic of Emily and daughter. Emily is gorgeous and young and has lots of time to find the right man, and she eventually will…hope she just takes it easy for now…

Emily has major issues. She loves the idea of being in love, but does not know how to love in return. I think she sucks men in, (Ricki’s dad would have had the same issues). Then she controls them. When she is done, she pushes them away. Her child she uses as control also. Not a healthy relationship for anyone.Personally, I have thought she was fake from the start. Jef, was from a whole different world then Emily. Never understood why people thought they were compatable.
