Mitt Romney Accused Of Lying In Court, Leaving Friend’s Ex-Wife Broke

The presidential candidate’s campaign could be crippled, as the former wife of his business tycoon best friend partnered with Gloria Allred to take him down in court. The claim? Mitt’s false testimony during Maureen Sullivan Stemberg’s divorce trial left her broke and homeless!

A shocking allegation has hit Mitt Romney‘s campaign — and it could cost him the presidential election!

Mitt, 65, is being accused of lying in court by his best friend’s ex-wife, TMZ reports. He was under oath during the divorce trial of Staples founder Tom Stemberg, and Tom’s ex-wife Maureen claims that he intentionally undervalued the worth of the company in order to screw her out of money in the trial.

Among his claims? Calling the company’s stock “overvalued” and saying”I didn’t place a great deal of credibility in the forecast of the company’s future.”

Noted attorney Gloria Allred appeared with Maureen in a Boston court on October 24, as she is representing her in the case.

As a result of his testimony, Maureen lost her home and has a hard time getting back on her feet. Meanwhile, Mitt and Tom cashed their stock out from Staples and made a small fortune — proving that there was value in the company.

This case gets even more heartbreaking, considering that Maureen has suffered from MS and cancer — and was cut off from her health insurance by her ex-husband. Ironically, this happened as he was working as a chief health care adviser to Mitt, when he was the governor of Massachusetts.

It’s quite possible Mitt Romney lied to help his friend, but I don’t know. What I do know is that he has changed his line so many times on so many issues, that I don’t know whether he’s coming or going. All we have to do is to listen to him one day, and the next he will be saying something completely different about the same issue that he discussed the day before. It just seems as if he just throws things out there and forgets that we can check on-line to see what he said previously. I find it hard to trust a man who seems to “talk out of both sides of his mouth”.

There is no evidence whatsoever that Romney lied in court. Moreover, whatever the merits or demerits of this messy divorce case, the former Mrs. Stemberg was hardly left destitute. In fact, she received 500,000 shares in Staples. She chose to sell half of those shares early. No one forced her to do so. She also received a lot more money from her former husband, but wanting still more she spent most of it on her legal team. This is not Mr. Romney’s fault. It should be noted that Mrs. Stemberg’s claims as to having been misled about the value of her husband’s company were made years ago in court and were completely repudiated by the judge. The full decision is out there on the internet for people who want to read it. Frankly, this non-story shows just how desperate the Obama campaign and its partisans have become. They have no positive message for the future. They don’t even have any substantive critiques of Romney. So they have to invent things like this. Fortunately, I think most Americans are too smart to fall for this kind of garbage.

What a stupid thing to throw a bombshell at. Who knows how many lives are worse because of Barack Obama’s policies? As just one example, a lot of people have lost homes are now below the poverty line because of Obama’s handling of our economic crisis. I think the American people are tired of October surprises, and that these so-called ‘surprises’ are not going to sway very many people to change their votes.

Money talks and Mitt R. Is a strange person,he is a business man and in the business of making money and the bigger the business people get hurt. If he becomes president we are in real trouble ,not real thrilled with Obama either but have to chose the best of two evils. Liberals (i.e., Far Left Democrats), whether it’s an individual or an organization, you are always trying to find something to dig up about Conservatives (i.e., Republicans) during election time that has nothing to do with what you are supposed to do, and that is to report about the entertainment industry, and to show and write unbiased material. We don’t need this story to know that Mitt is a liar. We are intelligent enough to surmise that ourselves. We listen to Mitt and we can form our own conclusions. We all know how CEOs behave and we’ll judge them like that. Shipping jobs overseas, banking in Cayman Islands, evading taxes etc is hardly honest behavior.

I pay taxes and had high hopes for Obama and voted for him. What a mistake. Why bail out corporate America with tax dollars and continue to give money decade after decade to those who do not nor have ever paid or given back to our system. Ladies wise up, just look at the poor woman who has been silenced all those years because of Romney’s money and you think he will think about you when he is in the White House.
