Melissa Rycroft and dance partner Tony Dovolani have been amazing on this all-star season of Dancing With The Stars, but an injury has cursed the pair with a major setback — Melissa was rushed to the hospital with a serious injury on Oct. 21, just one day before the couple was set to take the dance floor in front of a national audience.
“Melissa was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where she is currently being examined,” her rep tells PEOPLE. “She was accompanied to the hospital by her husband, Tye Strickland, and her dance partner, Tony Dovolani. Everyone is taking all necessary precautions at this time.”
On Oct. 21, concerned partner Tony tweeted, “Really concerned about @MelissaRycroft….. we don’t know if we are dancing tomorrow !!!!! Please keep us in your prayers #trouper”
Fan site Team Emmitt Smith tweeted, “I really hope Melissa Rycroft is ok. She was taken to the hospital with a head/neck injury. Ssying a prayer for her tonight.” Emmitt himself re-tweeted the sentiment.
E! News confirmed that she had been released later that night.
Melissa must be feeling better because she tweeted at 8:18pm on Oct. 21, “Just FYI – You can vote for DWTS this Monday AND TUESDAY!! Tony and I actually dance our guilty pleasure first on TUESDAY!! :-)”

That’s because she knows she’s losing, she shouldn’t be there, and SHE ISN’T A STAR! Won’t even watch this season. I just read about the “dancing with the whoever says yes show.”
