Omg … I know Bae is Emmas baby daddy . Why would he be so understanding when ask to leave her ? I dont care if you had tinkerbelle in the suitcase would you believe someone was from a fairytale land really especially someone you love. Unless you too came from the enchanted Forrest or your dad was Mr.Gold or both. Lets just hope Mr.Gold sides with the Charmings and breaks his renewed friendship with Cora. Now whats the deal with Belle ? Who does she think she is a disturbed girl who spent her life in the nuthut ? What was her identity in this world and will she just be written off? My only other nagging question are Mulan & Aurua sister wifes ? Who gets Phillip? Whats this our prince jazz? Isnt Mulan Shangs girl? Im totally lost on that.

Cora as the queen of hearts would make sense, I think.

I think bae is henry father because maybe when bae was sent to this world he was sent into a different timeline where emma is a baby are older so that could explain the age difference

Wow, that’s a great theory! If only it were true; it would be cool to start seeing Henry calling Rumlestiltzkin ‘Gramps’!

I dont think the guy in the beginning clip of season 2 is Baelfire. Why would he get a note about storybook? Then again thats the point, leave everyone guessing and racking their brains to figure it out before they show it. I thought it was Hook at first but he is in the other world with Snow and Emma..

i think Henry’s dad is Baelfire. from the preview of the recent episode, i guessed the dr. whale was frankenstein but i thought that was weird but i guess not. They have Hurley from lost as the jack and the bean stalk giant. i’m hoping it’s a new character for the queen of hearts but it’s probably cora. i love this show but i hate waiting everyweek for it.

I think Henry’s dad is bae in the first episode of season 2 it shows an unnamed person in a city which is suggested to be bae and in the Canadian prome of episode 6 it looks like Emma’s boyfriend is that guy but it’s a quick glance

I actually believe that the Queen of Hearts is in fact Snow’s mother, and shields her identity for a reason and has to be presumed dead. Why, I don’t know…

That was my first theory. Second was that Regina and Snow are in fact related that’s why their coloring is so similar. Maybe Cora is Snow’s Aunt? Or maybe is both Snow and Regina’s mother I don’t know my mind keeps going in all sorts of directions. I love this show!! I’m still going with Cora being the Queen of hearts. Especially after today’s episode with all the hearts Cora keeps in her vault. Would also explain why the QoH stole Regina’s father – revenge.

From day 1 Cora’s name alone did it for me. “Corazon” means heart. Queen of Hearts. She keeps a collection of them. So does her daughter. That apple doesn’t even fall from the tree. It just hangs really low.

I think the Queen of hearts is the ‘severe nurse’ who Regina gave the red rose to in the asylum and to whom Jefferson gave the ‘knock out tea’ to free Belle.

Whale is Victor Frankenstein – this should be crystal clear now. The mysterious man is not Baelfire (I hope). He’s probably Jack of Jack and Beanstalk fame (and other stories). I’ve been hoping an out-of-towner would show up. That’s probably going to scare the townies. Cora would make a lot of sense as the Queen of Hearts, but perhaps there’s a more sinister explanation. I don’t really give a flying flip who Henry’s dad is – does it matter? (Please, OUAT writers, don’t make it be Baelfire!) I hope Belle doesn’t go bad. That was what I liked about her. After last night’s episode, I am almost going to have to give up on Rumpel – my favorite (underdogs are always my favorite). I knew he was going to kill his wife, but I was really hoping that I was wrong all this time. Rats. And Hook will kill him with the dagger. No happy endings in sight. :( I might have to stop watching before that and pretend that he and Belle actually have a happy ending and that good does win.

Nothing should happen. When Henry left to find Emma nothing did. But now that magic has been relased, maybe they forget who they are and become minor story book characters,

Henry’s dad is the guy that we saw at the opening of season 2. I am guessing that also happens to be Baelfire. I agree about Cora being the Queen of Hearts but as you said it doesn’t seem to fit in chronologically. It could just be someone we haven’t met yet but I doubt it. Dr. Whale might be the doctor from Frankenstein? Not so sure but kind of seems to be the case after the trailer I just saw!

Yeah, that trailer made it preeeeeetty clear that he’s Dr. Frankenstein.

(Or, given the fact that this is a Disney-owned show, maybe he’s Dr. Finkelstein from “The Nightmare Before Christmas?”)

Dr. Whale has to be Dr. Frankenstein:

The Dr. Whale is Frankenstein Full Theory.
http://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1613

“James WHALE directed the 1931 movie Frankenstein, starring Boris Karloff as the monster. James Whale was also portrayed in the 1988 movie “Gods & Monsters”.”

“Dr. Whale is a womanizer. In the 1970 film, The Horror of Frankenstein, Dr. Frankenstein is portrayed to be a real womanizer. Kitsis, Horowitz and Lindelof are self confessed Frankenstein fans. I’m sure they know about that movie.”

“Now we see, in the current promo, scenes of a young Regina, heading down a flight of stairs, with what seems to be Jefferson & Dr. Whale behind her. (who other than Jefferson would be able to leave FTL and seek out Dr. Frankenstein in another world and bring him to Regina?). We also see Jefferson & Dr. Whale running from Rumple and escaping into a vortex(?). Then we have Jefferson & Regina, standing outsdie a tent at night, someone inside the tent operating on a body and then lighting strikes a rod above the tent sending sparks and electricity all throughout it.”

——-

As for Bae being Henry’s father, unless Bae doesn’t age, I doubt it’s him. Too much time has passed:

– Bae is 14 when he’s sent to another world
– Rumpelstiltskin took Charming’s brother when he was a baby; I’m guessing he is probably around 20 when he meets Snow.
– Maybe over the course of 2-3 years of Charming and Snow taking back the kingdom and having Emma.
– The 28 years due to the curse

14+20+2+28 = 64. Bae would have been 54 when Emma had Henry.

Then again, Emma may be into older guys?

If it is him, and if Michael Raymond James is Bae, then I hope they have a good explanation as to why he looks like he’s in his mid-30’s.

This season seems very promising so far. “The Doctor” episode will be really good; it sounds like justice will finally be served. Like some of the other comments, a couple of DISH coworkers and I think that Whale could be King Arthur, but I have no clue about the others. I’m glad that Once Upon a Time is now a staple show for me. I don’t even have to set timers for the show, because it auto-records with my Hopper’s PrimeTime Anytime feature. Otherwise, I would have probably forgotten about this and a few others starting this fall season. Cheers to the questions and the rest of this season.

I may be looking at the obvious but especially when he lost his temper I think Dr. Whale is actually Monstro, the whale that swallowed Pinoccio and Gepetto.

I was actually thinking a little more off track, that the new guy show in the season 2 opener was Mr.Gold’s(Rumple’s) son, since they touched on Rumple(Mr. Gold) thinking Pinnoccio was his son in season 1. There is a good chance, now that someone brought it up, that he could be Henry’s dad?

I think Dr. Whale is King Arthur. It would fit with the “You’re not my prince,” comment, and the hebrew word for whale is Leviathan. Lancelot was called the Leviathan. Plus, a lot of guys I know have became creepy womanizers in desperate attempts to get over bad break-ups, like Arthur dealing with Guinevere.

I think Baelfire is Henry’s dad. I think the new guy that we saw in the beginning of the premiere is Baelfire. He’s listed to be playing a guy who’s first name is Neal. The spelling of that could be linked to Bae.

I also think Cora is the Queen of Hearts.

I agree with Balefire possibly being Henry’s father, I suspected from the begining he was; that would bring things full circle.
I always thought Cora was the queen of hearts, QoH is one crazy witchonly Cora could compare
I was also thinking Dr. Whale might be the tin man from Oz but I would love it if he was king Authur.

I think that Henry’s dad is the guy (Neal Cassady) that was shown at the start of season 2 ep 2. I also think there is a good chance that that guy is also Bailfire (Rumpelstiltskins son) although that is quite unlikely. I am also pretty sure that the Queen of Hearts is Cora, on the book of magic spells (the one that rumplestiltskin gave to cora and then gave to regina) has a heart on the front of it! So does the magic mirror that Regina has (it has a heart on it). These are just small clues that Cora could be the Queen of Hearts. Just some theories as to Whale’s identity i’m completely bumpuzzled.

For some reason I seem to theorize that Whale is either the Pied Piper or Robin Hood. Or perhaps Doctor Knowall.
