Elena went behind Stefan’s back and developed a ‘personal’ connection to Damon.
With her fangs firmly in place, Elena (Nina Dobrev) found herself tackling the most important aspect of undead life on the Oct. 18 episode of The Vampire Diaries: feeding! But unlike last week’s season premiere, which clearly worked out in Stefan’s (Paul Wesley) favor, both Salvatore brothers got a piece of Elena this week — or in Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) case, Elena also got a piece of him!
Stefan was determined to get Elena used to his trademarked bunny diet, and while all seemed to be going well at first — after snacking on a deer, the couple started going at it hard in the woods — Elena had some trouble keeping the animal blood down. As hot as their sex was shaping up to be, it’s never a good sign when it ends in puke.
Elena’s next move was very telling of her true feelings: She went to Damon for help, making absolutely certain that Stefan never found out. And Damon’s next move was telling of his feelings, as he pulled Elena into the bathroom at Mystic Grill and let her nom on his arm bloods. As much as I love the idea of Damon and Elena together, I have to admit this scene made me a little uncomfortable. Was it supposed to make me horny, or hungry? Either way, mission accomplished!
Needless to say, Stefan wasn’t thrilled when he found out about their little lunch date. Damon came clean after Pastor Young’s funeral, which got him an admittedly deserved punch in the face. Oh, and did I forget to mention Damon wasn’t the only guy Elena fed off this week? She also sucked a little Matt (Zach Roerig) blood during the funeral service, which I’m sure put a little wind in the sails of the good ship Mattlena. (I like the idea of them together, whatever.)
Meet The New Blood:
This week’s episode also introduced two crucial new characters: Connor (Todd Williams), the new vampire hunter in town, and April Young (Grace Phipps), daughter of the late — and friggin’ insane — Pastor Young.
April has known the Gilberts since they were kids, and I immediately noticed sparks flying when she and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) locked eyes at school. I kind of love April, and not just because of her “I don’t give a f**k” attitude towards her father’s death. She has the potential to become Jeremy’s first stable — aka human — girlfriend, and God knows that boy needs one.
Connor, on the other hand, does not get any of my friendship. In this episode alone, he stabbed April, shot Tyler — multiple times, and on two separate occasions — and got into an all-out brawl with Damon. Have we ever seen one single human cause this much trouble for Mystic Falls’ supernatural population? I’m pretty sure we haven’t, and just think: This was only his first day in town!
But the most intense part of this week’s episode didn’t revolve around a hot moment between Elena and one of the brothers, or even one of the multiple fight scenes. It was all about Damon’s painful cemetery monologue about grief and regret. Oh, and Alaric (Matt Davis). How loudly did you squeal when he showed up on the screen? Admit it, you squealed.
“Miss you too, buddy.” (Dead! I’m dead.)
And Everybody Else:
Though the episode mostly focused on the ever-sharpening love triangle, there were a few stand-out moments from the other residents of Mystic Falls:
— Still racked with guilt, Matt asked Jeremy if there was anything he could do for Elena, “short of giving her a ride.” (Because, you know, we’re apparently making jokes about that now.)
— Speaking of guilt, Bonnie (Kat Graham) is so miserable over her Grams’ “death” that she could barely leave her house. I think she was even more upset than she let on, because she told Stefan she didn’t even have time to see Jamie. (I know, I’d pretty much forgotten about him, too.)
— For the second week in a row, unfortunate circumstances got in the way of Caroline (Candice Accola) and Tyler’s (Michael Trevino) sexy times. This week, a visit from Connor prompted Tyler to head downstairs — and get shot. (At least this time it wasn’t because he was Klaus in disguise!)
— When Jeremy and Matt bumped into Connor at Mystic Grill, Jeremy was the only bro who noticed Connor’s mysterious arm markings. What could that mean?!
And as always, here’s this week’s full breakdown of the Stelena/Delena moments:

Just when you thought vampire Elena was going to be all about Stefan, she went and surprised us all!
What did you think of this week’s episode? Will drinking Damon’s blood bring her closer to him? And why is Jeremy the only person who can see Connor’s tattoo? Drop me a comment with your thoughts and theories!

i think Damon must go from the Myctic Falls for a few time, that will help Elena to find out how she loves and needs him.I think it will be the best way.Besides I don’t like Elena because of her using Damon when she needs him and at the same time be with Stefan. It is the worth thing on people.
Damon has done a lot in season one that was hard to forgive. He was the villian in Season one and what he did to Caroline, Elena, and Stefan was then..not now. He should have proved himself by now that he is actually for the greater good.He doesnt want to hurt anyone but he knows what has to be done to keep the worse from happening. Bonnie was so mad at him for turning her mom last season…well..he could have just killed her to save Elenas life. No one said anything to Stefan when he interupted Bonnies first “mommy visit”. He did a lot of crap too and not only to Elena but to all of them..put them all at risk. Which still I don’t understand why Caroline is so Stelena…I guess because he was there for her..in his saint moments when everything was “rainbows and butterflies” as Damon would call it. I feel so bad for Damon. I hope he gets reminded of how far he has come and helpful he has been. Im so happy Meredith told him he was a good brother. I think it really helped him. And he is looking past his own hurt to help Elena. I forsee a blood exchange happening soon with Elena and Damon. Not for a hunger thing(more of lust thing) but I think in episode 4 she will feed on him again..knowing Stefan had a hard time with it. I think that may draw the wedge. I don’t think she’ll sleep with Damon yet…by the end of the season that should happen. But I do believe she’ll feed on him and maybe even he’ll feed on her “sexual tension increased” and Elena will not be able to keep that from Stefan..the guilt of being dishonest will eat at her and I think they will take a break after that. Elena needs to initiate the feeding though. That would be hott!!!!! Go Delena!

I absolutely love the whole love triangle. I like the balance Elena has between Stefan and Damon. Although a very big part of my imagination would love to see more of Damon and Elena to make things a little more steamy. So I do want them to feel linked in a way. It sure seemed (as Elena was drinking Damon’s blood) that it was more than a feeding. But to sweep Stefan or Damon under the rug completely would be insane. The love triangle must go on. As for seeing Alaric, brings me back to the episode where they had a memorial for him and how full of tears I was; so I did squeal. But it is always touching seeing bad boy, tough guy Damon get sentimental.

its not that it will bring her closer or bind her to him. Caroline had Klaus’s and she resisted him-still. It is not a sire bond either. Damon was trying to help her. She rejected another human in the grill and it was the only option left. Bambi got barf’d. He doesn’t carry bags and if he had some they were where Stefan was at their house. Right then and there it was all he had. He next tried a blood bag. He was trying to help her as fast as he could, more than getting cozy or trying to bind her.
The brothers have shared. Its like sharing a needle, a toilet seat…or giving blood to save a life. You do it because you care enough to step out of the comfort zone. As a vampire that’s big. DE had never shared anything so honest and close before. The way they touched like that…trust. the bodily fluid thing has a double meaning for vampires in what it makes you feel at the moment-blood and sex.
Think of what a weak place you put yourself in-someone drinking your life essence and power. Its vulnerable. It is not why they will be close. Stefan will resent that she NEEDS blood because he cannot help her and be with her. He can’t share that part of his life with her yet again. And he is jealous of any closeness DE share because of the present and past. Don’t forget he saw stuff when his emotions were off. He knows they feel something. This is sad for himinthat he is losing her all over again. He will not agree with what she does, but can she help it when she can’t eat anything?

I think poor Stefan got so upset when he found out what had happened, because he realized that Elena trusts Damon more than him. He faced the reality that Elena lied to him and went to Damon for help. That, to me, it’s extremely telling as how comfortable she feels around Damon and how much she trusts Him. Even more so than Stefan (at least in this instance) It is not what one says but what one does, and Elena’s actions said plenty…On the blood sharing thing; Damon wanted to help her, sure…but he also wanted to have that connection with her and feel her feeding from him. He knew exactly what he was doing. He was in total bliss when she was drinking from him as it is presumably very pleasurable to vampires (that scene was very intimate and from Damon’s perspective it looked very sexual) That said, Damon did have other options but he thought on his feet and saw the opportunity of having Elena feed from him. I can’t blame him. Sometimes one has to do whatever it takes…lol…gotta love Damon. He is very resourceful…can’t wait for more Delena moments!

I dont think that there would be a specific connection between delena because like damon said that its personal only, cuz also in other vampire stories usually married vampires share each others blood, its probably like making out or something like that. Ofcourse this leads Steffan pissed off and punching damon, nothing more o.o”
Conner in the other hand, i am guessing he had an ancestor in mystic falls that was a vampire hunter and he might be following his family roots etc.. I mean like then why would he give a crap if he heard mystic falls had “an unstable pollution” <<he said sth like that :3…
I think that one of the reasons to why he does give a crap :
- having a family issue that has sth to do with supernatural species
- maybe he use to live in mystic falls back before it got all crazy and he just wants to protect it e.o
- his family trained him to hate vampires etc..
- or MAYBE he is a witch "they hate vampires" as simple as that ._.

You might be right, He is probably a member of another council against vampires from another city who came to mystic falls by the request of the priest to cleanse the city from vampires.
But i think he has something to do with witchcraft because of the invisible tattoo, because its not possible he could fight the vampires without protection so probably the tattoo acts as a repellent against witchraft.
Look personally I think Stefan is an okay guy who lives in he’s version of reality to try and forget about he’s past mistakes that he blames on human blood when really he just never could accept that he is a VAMPIRE that survives on human blood, It’s natural.Unlike Damon, he doesn’t drink human blood because of he’s fear, guilt and grief that will eventually be he’s downfall. Damon isn’t a saint either but he’s done what Stefan doesn’t have the balls to do! He’s come to accept the reality of the situation. Also Damon unlike Stefan isn’t new to rejection and pain but he deals with that instead of living in he’s own fantasy world with the girl he uses (consciously or not) as a replacement for Kathrine. Elena is most probably just like Kathrine before she was turned but Kathrine didn’t have anyone to look after her and love her. I like to think that Elena becoming a vampire will open up her eyes to the fact that as comfortable and ‘secure’ (and I use that term loosely seeing as Stefan has raped and murdered many) as her relationship with Stefan may seem, there are huge cracks in their relationship because she is terrified of the side of him that he keeps buried inside. She can’t see he’s faults and therefore hasn’t accepted them. By the time she realizes that, it will be too late.

I absolutely loved Delena in this episodes n to clear things up for SE fans, Damon wasn’t taking advantage of Elena, he was trying to help her because Stefan’s stupid ways didn’t work. Damon loves Elena more than anything n if u r going to bring up Caroline’s issue then don’t forget that she was a spoilt bitch n was attracted to him, also don’t forget that Stefan raped n drained a lot of girls for his own amusement aswell. And if u didn’t notice Elena couldn’t digest Damon’s blood, so she won’t need him for blood. She loves him, she wants him for HIM not for her hunger desires. Damon will be the only one to teach Elena in the right way because he’s realistic, he doesn’t live in an illusion n honestly Stefan has no right to punch Damon, he was helping Elena for heaven’s sake. So Stefan doesn’t want Damon to help Elena even if its for her benefit? Wow thats true love!! Damon would never punch or hurt Stefan if he was helping Elena in the right way, because Damon always has Elena’s best interests at heart. The DE scene in the grill n when Damon reassured her that she’d fine were absolutely breathtaking. Even when they don’t speak much, everything is conveyed through their actions n all those unsaid words. Writers don’t need to give us makeout scene every other minute to make us believe in DE, like they do with SE. Those two minute DE scenes steal the whole show. DE forever <3

i could not agree more, delena just looking at each other is more sensual then all the sex scenes. The scene in the bathroom was so beautifull , the way she put her head on his shoulder and pushed him in to the wall,That had to be hard for damon. damon bringing her dress and the scenes outside ,when she could not hold that blood down either , her saying it would be better if i was dead , the look in damon’s eyes and his reassurance to her ,was heartbreaking.

Damon is so amazing I love him oh so much and that scene when him and elena was in the bathroom was epic I was like omg she’s about to do it and yeah he compelled caroline in season one to be a personal blood bag but u have to look at it he has changed a lot since that first season and when I saw alaric I like sqealed so loud I was about to cry cause damon lost his bestfriend awwh I really miss alaric so much he was so awesome and I loved how he was damon”s only friend that was so heartbreaking.
I can’t wait until the next episode. If this was reality, I’d want Elena to choose Stefan but since it’s a show – I’M ROOTING FOR DAMON! :) Hopefully the blood sharing does bring them closer somehow. I read somewhere though that blood sharing doesn’t “come with any side effects”. Maybe it was just for Damon’s crazy enjoyment. I’m guessing Jeremy sees the tattoo because Conner deals with the dead…?

Jenna, I don’t think Damon is sleeazy. He is quite honest and tells the truth even before he either screws up or kills someone. He even told Elena about the bond they would have if she drank his blood. Back in the first season, they explained about the bond and how connected they would be. He’s a pretty honest dude. He makes no bones about protecting and killing for Elena.

@Andy, I have been thinking that ever since the night that Katherine said no to Damon. He said something like, tell me it wasn’t for nothing and you love me and I’ll go off with you. Katherine said no and that’s when Damon went full force after Elena and boke Jer’s neck. Still would love for Katherine to return and be with Damon. Love how Katherine was such a bada-ss. But the way Elena is using the brothers for different reasons she could give Kat a run for her money.

But Jenna, when Damon said that to Katherine, he was already in love with Elena who was there for him when he came out of the tomb realising that Katherine had betrayed him.
I don’t think that Damon is projecting his feelings for Katherine onto Elena. I think, like Stefan, he wasn’t really that keen on history repeating itself. So when Katherine came back on the scene in season 2 after Elena had already made it clear that she didn’t want him, I think that he saw a relationship with Katherine as a way to avoid fighting with his brother over the same girl again. One doppelganger per Salvatore and he would end up with the slightly morally suspect one. Which ties in well with Damon’s own perception at the time that he doesn’t really deserve Elena but Stefan does. At that point he no longer had any illusions about Katherine but it was still only very shortly after he realised what she had done to him and he probably would have made excuses for her if she’d told him she loved him. But the fact that he needed her to say that he was her first choice shows that he was no longer her puppy. He merely would have settled for he person who put him first.
I actually think the scene that shows that Damon is truly over Katherine is the one at he end of ep. 3×09 after Michael’s plan to kill Klaus fails. When Katherine interrupts his scene with Elena (when Elena agrees that they have to let Stefan go) by calling him to say she’s heading out of town, he treats her almost like a normal acquaintance, even a friend (she brought the blood that saved him after the werewolf bite after all) but no longer like someone for whom he has any feelings – of love or hate.
By the same token, I am not at all sure about Stefan’s attitude towards Katherine. Most of the time he makes it look as if he never had any feelings for her at all and it certainly seems as if he was never in love with her as much as Damon was, but can this really be given that he initially only observed Elena because of her similarity to Katherine? Still, I can’t see him and Katherine end up together, much as that would please my Delena heart.

lol there is nothing sleazy about damon, he is the only honest one that never pretend to be anything he is not. He did not had to compel Caroline, she was crazy about him when she saw him and wanted him.he compelled her so she wont be scared and he did not want any emotional attachment. He also has evolved a lot since then, and he was on a mission at that time to free Cathrine. He did not exchange blood with Elena to get her, he was helping here since she could not hold down anything else, he even warned her. Besides all that it was the most beautifull , sensual, emotional scene, better then any sex scene.

Now I recall…
Stefan said he never love Katherine….
So, what reasons make him go close to Elena ??
