We can’t imagine Emily is happy about this one! Jef is taking his mind off from the breakup by hanging out her ex — ‘Bachelorette’ runner-up Arie Luyendyk, Jr.! Do YOU think they’re swapping stories about the blonde beauty?
Talk about an awkward situation! Emily Maynard‘s ex-boyfriends Jef Holm and Arie Luyendyk Jr. are hanging out less than a week after Jef and Em announced their split! Arie has even taken to Twitter to let the world know how awesome Jef is and sending cryptic messages about moving on from the past! Perhaps they’re commiserating over the single mom?
“Hanging with @jefholm while he’s is Arizona I can tell you that. He is still the coolest guy I know! Trying to take his mind off things and lay low. #teamJef,” Arie tweeted on Oct. 17.
But the most revealing tweet came later that day after Jef and Arie hit the racetrack.
“Hit the track tonight with Jef, whenever I drive the wheels off of something I never have a care in the world. In life and in racing you don’t have to look behind you if you’re going fast enough. #RacersTherapy #ThinkAboutIt,” Arie tweeted.
Hmm! It sounds a lot like Arie is helping Jef heal his broken heart which makes us think this wasn’t exactly a mutual split. Jef, 28, and Emily, 26, announced the news to PEOPLE magazine on Oct. 16 in two separate statements.
“Meeting Emily on The Bachelorette was an incredible experience, we’ve had quite the journey,” Jef told the mag. “I’ve never loved someone so much in my whole life, Emily is the best person and mom I have ever met. She opened up her world to me and I fell in love with her, [her daughter] Ricki, her family and the Hendricks.”
Emily cited bad timing as a reason for the split.
“I have nothing but respect and love for Jef and his family, but ultimately we are just at different points in our lives,” Emily told the mag.
Hmm! It’s super nice of Arie to lend a helping hand, but we’re sure they’re talking about Em the entire time — uh oh!
