The pregnant singer is so excited to welcome her first child any day, but she and boyfriend Simon Konecki are planning on keeping a lower profile than ever when their little bundle of joy arrives.
Adele, 24, who announced in June that she is pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Sim Konecki, is due any day and wants to lay low while she prepares for the new baby.
“She’s just thrilled,” a source told People. “She’s given up smoking, and she hasn’t had a drink in months. Life is pretty much perfect for her right now.”
The Someone Like You singer has been shying away from the public eye since news of her pregnancy broke three months ago, and has only been photographed out a handful of times.
“She’s totally laying low and nesting,” the source added. “She’s enjoyed picking out furniture for the baby’s rooms and trying to choose names.”
But Adele, who hasn’t been a fan of the spotlight since she skyrocketed to fame with her sophomore album 21 — she’s only made three public appearances since winning six Grammys in February — will be hiding out from the public eye more after the baby arrives.
“[Adele and Simon] want to keep a very low profile when the baby is born,” the source said. “I think we’ll see even less of them than ever!”
A family friend said that above her fame and fortune, the 24-year-old is just looking forward to being a mom.
“Despite her millions, she is going to give the baby the most important thing all children need: love,” the friend said.

She’d be great. She doesn’t care how much money she has, she just wants to have the baby be normal. That’s great, especially with the caliber of pop star that she is.
