Want to get frightened before the big day? Check out this chilling new movie — you’ll be talking about it for days!

The super-scary film Sinister has arrived, and it will not disappoint anybody looking for a frightful moviegoing experience! Ethan Hawke stars as author and family man Ellison Osborne, who discovers a batch of disturbing home movies which point to a twisted supernatural secret. Check out our five reasons why you should see this spooky film and tell us if YOU are brave enough to experience Sinister!

1) It’s very scary — duh!

When you go to a movie like Sinister, you need to know it can scare your pants off. Believe me — it will. From the haunting found footage of the tapes Ellison discovers, to the supernatural reality that creates a backstory, the film will break you down in several terrifying ways. Only check it out if you’re prepared to be scared!

2) The special effects are super-creepy!

Sinister knows how to get under your skin, and part of this is lots of creepy effects. As the lines between reality and the shocking videos begins to blur, the film plays plenty of tricks on the unsuspecting audience. Forget lame CGI — the film looks as pretty and macabre as the dark ideas presented.

3) Ethan brings a lot of gravitas to the role!

Normally, scary movies are not defined by great acting. But Ethan, 41, knows how important it is to draw the viewer in by creating a well-rounded character. He’s a strong screen presence, and because of it, Ethan makes the film WAY scarier than it needs to be!

4) There is a HUGE twist that will make your jaw drop!

I’m not going to be awful and reveal it, but once the secrets of the tapes start to unravel, there are several OMG moments. Mystery fans will love solving the riddles and guessing the twists — if they are brave enough to keep their eyes on the screen the whole time!

5) It leaves you wanting more!

The mysteries in Sinister tie up quite nicely, but the ideas stayed with me far after the film ended. It’s one thing to have a lot of bumps in the night and scary noises, but this movie develops some horrifying ideas that stay with you. Much like The Others and The Ring, it’s not what’s on the screen that’s most frightening — it’s what your mind conjures up after.

Will YOU see Sinister this weekend, HollywoodLifers?
