Joe Biden V. Paul Ryan On Abortion: Who’s View Do You Chose?

In last night’s (Oct. 11) Vice Presidential debate, Joe Biden and Paul Ryan spoke out on their completely different viewpoints and policies on abortion. If elected, their policies will affect YOU. Here’s where they stand. Read and tell me what you think.

Vice President Joe Biden and Paul Ryan, the Representative for Wisconsin’s 1st congressional district who is Mitt Romney‘s running mate, were grilled about their stances on abortion, by moderator Martha Raddatz during their Vice-Presidential debate, and it turns out that, their policies couldn’t be more different.

Now Hollywoodlifers as women, you could be seriously impacted by their policies if they’re elected so  it’s important to know what they’ll each do.

Here’s what Paul Ryan, who believes that “life begins at conception” had to say at the debate: ‘ The policy of a Romney administration will be to oppose abortion with the exceptions for rape, incest and life of the mother,” he announced. Plus, he says that he and Mitt Romney feel so strongly about their apposition to abortion, that he thinks abortions should be restricted through legislation and not by judges deciding whether abortion is a constitutional right, which it has been in the past. The Supreme Court famously ruled in 1973 in the Roe V. Wade case, that the right for a woman to have an abortion was protected under the constitution.

The Mitt Romney/ Paul Ryan Position

“We don’t think that unelected judges should make this decision; that people, through their elected representatives and reaching a consensus in society through the democratic process, should make this determination,” Ryan explained.

So HollywoodLifers, the Romney/Ryan position is very clear: abortion should be made illegal through new laws, except in the cases of rape, incest or if the health of the mother is threatened.

Now, Joe Biden articulated that he and President Obama have have THE opposite view on abortion: While he also believes that “life begins at conception. That’s the church’s judgement. I accept it in my personal life,” he was very clear that he didn’t want to impose his own personal beliefs on women.” I refuse to impose it on equally devout Christians and Muslims and Jews and — I just refuse to impose that on others…I don’t believe that we have a right to tell other people that women, they — they can’t control their body. It’s a decision between them and their doctor, in my view. And the Supreme Court — I’m not going to interfere with that,” he explained.

Where President Obama Stands

President Obama has also spoken out in support of a woman’s right to choose saying,”I remain committed to protecting a woman’s right to choose and this fundamental constitutional right,” he has said.

So there you have it, HollywoodLifers. President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will protect a woman’s right to choose. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will seek to outlaw abortion across the country except in cases of rape, incest or if the life of the mother is threatened.

Where do you stand on these two polar opposite positions on abortion, HollywoodLifers? Vote below!

romney’s facial expression is always as usual the same as natural with smiling face. once its natural, then its not going to change. you cannot make a person with its natural attributes to change to frown. those with natural growl faces, you cannot change to grinning faces. so why don’t you take a second look on all of romney’s photos, also find a photo of romney being sad, check them out if he is frowning. what you are saying is, you like a frowning president. but what about obama with his big mouth smile showing his truly white teeth on a dark gums. heavy smokers developed dark gums for years of smoking, which i observed on people i know who are chain smokers.

not if i have to pay for your abortion. choose whatever you want, but don’t make people pay for abortion they opposed, making those against abortion as accessory of murdering babies. everyone has the right to choose, but no one has the right to drag anybody on something they will not swallow, because of their belief.

You people that are on Obama’s side need to look at what he’s doing to this country. He hasn’t done anything to help us. He’s just bringing us down more and more. He sits over there telling the Russian president “I can’t do anything now, but just wait till I get reelected.” He will ruin this country more than he already has if he gets reelected. You all think he’s such a great president, but you have no idea. He is the worst president we could have ever chosen. And abortion is wrong. You are murdering your child. And I think it should be illegal. If you don’t want a kid, don’t have sex. That simple. Clearly Romney and Ryan are the best choice for this country right now. Not Obama.

Bonnie – you’re wrong. Ryan said what their views were but he didn’t say that Roe v Wade would be (or should be) overturned. He simply said that the legislature (who are elected by the people) should make the laws which govern the people (not judges). This is simply a scare tactic to try and get people to vote for Obama. Guess what? I don’t care who gets elected…Roe v Wade is here to stay so quit trying to act like their personal views are going to somehow cause women to go back to the stone ages.

Yes, but do you agree with Ryan that the legislature should force his (and yours) view on EVERYBODY?
Biden also believes that abortion is wrong, but he doesn’t think it’s the federal government’s job to force that opinion on everbody.

So now where do you stand?

Although I agree with Biden’s stance on abortiion I am still going to vote Republican because the pressing problem the country has just now is JOBS. I believe abortion is wrong but it should be available because it is the law and I won’t tell other women what to do in their situation, in any case.

if ryan was a clown, so how come the viewers are not laughing, instead tweeting – biden’s laughing is an uncontrollable bizarre behavior. the VP of the USA is insane, compared to a clown who is sane.

biden stance on abortion is the same stance pontius pilate took, when the jews were screaming crucify JESUS. biden is cleansing himself. abortion get legalized by politicians like himself, yet contends to the contrary. if biden believe he is not to impose abortion to those, whose religion is against it, then abortion should not be an agenda of the government, imposing to those who are against abortion to pay for those wanting abortions.

Yea, and he was right. That all he could do legally. The law said that Jews could choose one of convicted to go free and they didn’t choose Jesus. And if he did something different Christians wouldn’t have that guilty trick “Jesus died for you”. While basically Jesus didn’t die for us, he died instead of other Jews that were fighting Rome while Jesus actually was for peacefull collaboration: “Give Cesar what belongs to him”. All that story has nothing to do with our sins only like a parallel to some events nowdays. Anyway Chistians managed to interpret Jesus competely wrong basically 180 degree opposite LOL

i can tell, you are not christian. so don’t explain to me, your crooked talking points about jesus. i was talking about pontius pilate action in particular to cleanse himself n that’s what biden, a catholic like myself, is doing with his pro stance in abortion cleansing himself.
