The man arrested for trespassing at Miley’s home while carrying scissors was convicted and sentenced to 18 months in prison on Oct 12. Keep reading for more details in this case!
Miley Cyrus had a very scary September after a man was arrested on her property with a weapon on Friday, Sept. 7. Immediately, a judge ordered the intruder to stay 500 yards away from Miley and her home. Now, he has been convicted of the crime.
TMZ reported that the intruder, Jason Luis Rivera, 40, pled “not guilty” to trespassing and resisting arrest. But on Oct. 11, he appeared in court and was convicted of the crime. On Oct. 12, he was sentenced to the maximum penalty — 18 months in prison.
As we’ve previously reported, Jason was caught by cops with a pair of scissors on Miley’s property, claiming she was his wife. Luckily, Miley was not at home at the time of the crime.
Miley is not planning to move after the incident.
Does the punishment fit the crime, HollywoodLifers?
