The star turned up to support her pal, but should she have lightened up her outfit? VOTE!
Vanessa Hudgens showed up at the afterparty for the Seven Psychopaths premiere in NYC on Oct. 10 to support her Sucker Punch co-star Abbie Cornish, where she tried to keep the spotlight on her good pal, wearing black separates.
While we think it was so nice of her not to try to upstage her friend, who had the spotlight on her all night, her look did get a bit lost due to the monochrome ensemble. Personally, I thought her lace and velvet top tucked into pants and paired with her blazer and pumps went together perfectly for the afterparty, sponsored by Appleton Estate Rum. The proportions were just right, I like the way she paired the different fabrics together and it was so consistent with the cool fall weather in NYC right now — however, it was so hard to see all of the amazing separates cause they all seemed to blend together!
Black-on-black-on-black is definitely a fall trend we’re going to see more of, but in this instance I wish Vanessa broke up the ensemble. If she opted for oxblood pants or a blazer and kept the rest of the look black I think her get-up would’ve been appreciated way more.
