So sad. The 20-year-old’s life was taken on Oct. 9 in a tragic car accident. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time.

Sammi Kane Kraft — who displayed her exceptional baseball skills in Bad New Bears  — died in a devastating car crash on Tuesday, Oct. 9.

The 20-year-old child star was driving with her 21-year-old friend, Molly Kate Adams, on the freeway in the early hours of the morning in L.A. when their car crashed leaving Sammi dead and her friend with “moderate injuries,” according to the Daily Mail, who also reports that Molly was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving.

Sammi played Amanda Whurlitze in Bad New Bears — the only girl on a crazy, misfit baseball team.

It’s so sad that her life was taken so early and we can’t even imagine what her family is going through.
