Slade Smiley's Son Back In The Hospital For Rare Brain Tumor

Slade Smiley’s 12-year-old son Grayson is tragically back in the hospital after suffering from a rare brain tumor since his diagnosis in 2005.

Grayson, the son of The Real Housewives of Orange County star Slade Smiley, has been battling brain cancer since he was 5 years old.

“He is fighting hard,” Michelle Arroyo, Grayson’s mother told RadarOnline.com. “Grayson is a good little soldier.”

Grayson has spent the past three days at Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York.

Slade, the boyfriend of Gretchen Rossi, has been in legal disputes with Grayson’s mother who claims he has not paid child support. Slade defends that he does not make enough money to contribute to his ill son’s medical bills.

Despite the family’s legal strife, The Talbert Family Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing financial support to families with children suffering from serious illness, has set up “The Amazing Gray Fund.” One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to help pay for Grayson’s medical bills.

This is very sad and I wish Grayson the best. I remember hearing Slade owed IRS a lot of money over 138k. He even lost his house and his job because of the economy. He went to court to have his child payments reduced because he couldn’t afford as much as he used to. He does pay. Just because he lives with Gretchen in her townhouse does not mean Gretchen plans on paying his bills.Give the guy a break. He’s doing the best he can and was just flying up to New York last night on the show to be with him.

Do any of us PLAN for major medical problems? Could you muster up funds? Maybe just maybe he was paying medical bills instead of child support. Could you do both.?

your son is sick with cancer..but you are a sick person..you should pay for medical treatmant for your son..

I would like to add that all you need to do is help, forget all the money you owe and just help all you can for now. Put the past behind you and just step up and be a Dad the best way you can today.

off slutting around with Gretchen- on exotic trips, dinners out, celebrity parties, etc….
There are NO words for this man. Most men would work as many jobs as they could to
pay for the treatment of their sons cancer.

Slade is a slob!! When was the last time he even seen his kids?? Im sure its been a good long time!! I hope that Slade and his former wife can put aside their differences at this time and concentrate on their son. I have always thought Slade is a kind person and whatever the financial difficulties between him and his ex wife, I never thought he was evil the way some of the housewives on the show do. He loves Gretchen and she loves him; it’s a shame that money is making so much trouble between them. I wish his son the best and hope the treatment he gets at Sloan Kettering is successful.
