Molly Sims: How I’m Losing 50 Pounds Of Baby Weight

Model and actress Molly Sims reveals to HollyBaby that it’s been extremely difficult to regain her pre-baby body after welcoming son Brooks three months ago — but we found out just how hard she’s working to lose the weight.

Most celebrity moms make shedding the extra pregnancy pounds look easy, but the beautiful Molly Sims admits it’s tough work. The 39-year-old jewelry designer, who welcomed son Brooks on June 19, said shedding the 50 pounds she gained during her pregnancy is still a work in progress.

Molly works with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson, whose famous clients include Jennifer Lopez and Gwyneth Paltrow, and credits the fitness guru for helping her get back in shape.

“Tracy’s method has changed my body,” she explains to HollyBaby.com EXCLUSIVELY on Oct. 5 at the launch of the Tracy Anderson Method Pregnancy Project at The Top of The Standard in New York City.

Tracy’s specialized fitness method for pregnant women and new moms, which she applies during her private training sessions, is now available on DVD. Her set of nine DVDs titled Tracy Anderson: The Pregnancy Project is now available on her website tracyandersonmethod.com.

Tracy Anderson Reveals Her Pregnancy Workout Secrets

The celebrity trainer shared with HollyBaby.com some exclusive fitness tips she incorporates in her DVD program. Tracy recommends working out for at least 30 minutes a day, but prefers doing 30 minutes of cardio and another 30 minutes of strength training for best results. She also swears by reverse crunches with your legs lifting up rather than laying on the ground doing standard crunches.

“It’s important for women to know to be patient, but if you follow my program, you should notice results within a few weeks of my product,” she says. “You will also have to attack [the weight] with cardio, make healthy choices and consume proper fats so the [breast] milk is healthy.”

“Every single sequence is constructed by me and it’s doable and effective,” she adds.

Molly Sims: Perfect Post-Baby Bodies Aren’t ‘Realistic’

As a celebrity, Molly said she feels intense pressure to bounce back into shape at record speed.

“The pressure is part of the problem because we feel like we need to look like a 20-year-old or someone in a magazine who just stepped out three weeks later and… it’s not realistic,” she said on the Today Show on Oct. 5.

“I gained 50 pounds, and it was hard and even harder after,” she added during the interview. “I have three Spanx on right now!”

Although she is lucky to be working with Tracy, Molly understands how much harder it is for working moms — but being a mom makes everything worthwhile.

“Becoming a mom has changed my life,” Molly says to HollyBaby.com. “I couldn’t imagine going back to my old life now.”
