Kristen Stewart Earns Spot On ‘Variety’s’ 2012 Women’s Impact List

Kristen Stewart joins Hollywood heavyweights Anne Hathway, Emma Stone and Charlize Theron on Variety’s 2012 Women’s Impact report.

Variety recently put out its 2012 Women’s Impact List and Kristen Stewart made the cut for her ability to work “outside of her normal responsibilities,” most notably for her work on Snow White and the Huntsman.

“Amid all the testosterone-heavy tentpoles and hit pay TV action series this year, it was the female characters that really delivered the knockout punches. From the heroines of summer blockbusters to the folks that made the smallscreen sizzle, women held their own in fare that might have originally been targeted for men, but were enjoyed by all,” Variety explains.

Variety highlights Kristen’s performance in SWATH, saying, “Stewart made the character her own with a steely version of the apple-loving beauty.”

Ironically, the criteria of making the list involved the actress doing “something extraordinary outside of her normal responsibilities.” Kristen certainly did extraordinary things outside of her normal responsibilities for SWATH, but we won’t go there.

Others who made the list include Claire Danes, Anne Hathaway, Emma Stone and Charlize Theron.

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Did Kristen deserve a spot on the list?

Good for KRISTEN I thought she was Fabulous in the movie. She deserves to earn a spot on the Variety’s 2012 Women’s Impact List for her role in SWATH. She knocked the part out of the ball park. I hope she keeps up the good work. I hope Rob is proud of her for making this list.

Unfortunately, it will a long while before anything she says or does afterwards does not mention or tie into the cheating scandal.

Good for Kristen, gosh she even learned how to ride a horse, she even said she was terrified about it, but she did it!! She even jumped off a high cliff into the cold water.
Kristen keep your head up high, you have nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone makes mistakes and learns from them know it’s time to move on.

of course it is not encouraged. One’s aim should naturally be faithfulness BUT if you or any human were to mess up….do you think it’s fair or right for others to hate, shun, and hurt you forever? Do you think it’s fair for an outsider to judge someone else’s personal life at all? I think it’s only fair if they keep their opinion to themselves and don’t use it to gang up/bully someone who made a mistake. Further, I think going any farther than ‘i don’t like what that person did’ in your judgment is uncalled for and unkind. You don’t have to be friends with the person though personally I would and have. I think there is a flaw in female nature and that females aren’t honest with themselves. They twist things for their own sense of superiority.

I think what you’re really trying to say is ‘how dare you take away my free pass to hate and shun
and gather recruits against another female?’ You females are tricky. If cattiness were to subside,
i think more people would be faithful actually.

WOOT – you go, girl!! Kristen DOES have a HUGE impact on young girls.
All this is OBVIOUSLY a publicity stunt but not necessarily one Kristen, Robert or ANY of their Twilight FANS volunteered for. Hollywood did this JUST to cause them PAIN so they could make money off the TEARS of YOUNG GIRLS! You KNOW these extreme Twilight obsessions were PREVENTABLE, and SO many Twilight Fans are STILL in emotional turmoil because of this Robsten breakup PR stunt. TIME to think about putting blame where it belongs – Stephenie Meyer’s BOOK PUBLISHER for their professional negligence in allowing Twilight to be published with SUCH an overly-addictive “writing style” toward young girls. Search for “explaintwilightbreakingdawnending blogspot”.

Catherine, you sound like a wacky conspiracy theorist. There’s nothing amiss about Stephenie Meyer’s writing style nor her publisher. Personally I love her Meyer’s books. i find her writing style to be unique and very absorbing…in a good, good way. Yes a lot of young (and older) girls were very taken with her books and with Robsten. That is THEIR business….but what they need to realize is life doesn’t mirror fiction. The fans need to grow up and learn the truth that real people have real private lives. Women need to learn men AND women are only human and vulnerable to mistakes. They are CHOOSING to judge and hate…and it’s a bandwagon thing. This isn’t Hollywood’s fault either. The people perpetuating this are the lowlife gossipers and haters. Sadly a huge portion of our society feeds off gossip. It would be great if the media would quit flinging the gossip and slander, but there is freedom of the press. Luckily we have a choice to pay attention or not to…same with the celebrities. If you were a celebrity I imagine you’d choose to not pay attention.

You had me agreeing with you Barb until you mention vulnerable to mistakes–Ms. Stewart was not vulnerable. She was an 22 year old women who is consider to an adult by society’s standard who CHOSE to have an affair with a married man. She made a wrong decision. She is not the victim nor is she vulnerable. But you are right–it is time to move on.

@notthistwilight-Only thing that Stephanie Meyers can be blamed for is casting Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan–She sucks at acting.

Good for Kristen! Name calling and rude comments, shows immaturity. You kids on here. Have no right to judge anyone. You don’t know her r Rob and ever will. So you can have a conversation on this topic but you can’t be judgemental. Wait until you screw up. We all do! Just be kind.

Yes, she certainly has been putting in extra time beyond the usual movie acting. This is a joke!
The movie was not all that successfull so a boost was needed to carry it forward. It will always be remembered for what went on after the working day, unfortunately.

Jeanne,

Go check your facts again. The movie was budgeted at $170m and made over $390m worldwide and this was before what happen after the movie. Therefore, in the eyes of studio executives, the movie was a success.
