Brad Falchuk tells HollywoodLife.com’s sister site TVLine that ‘there’s a chance of a lot of [the couples] getting back together,’ after Finchel, Klaine, and Brittana all called it quits on the Oct. 4 episode of ‘Glee.’

As fans remain shaken up, following Glee’s heart-wrenching Oct. 4 episode “The Break Up,” executive producer Brad Falchuk eases our pain just a bit with some optimism.

Glee’s most popular couples: Rachel (Lea Michele) and Finn (Cory Monteith), Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss), Brittany (Heather Morris) and Santana (Naya Rivera) all took their separate ways last night — leaving me and millions of fans traumatized. Fear not, though. There’s hope for the future.

“Nothing is set in stone,” Brad tells TVLine. “For now things are different. But that there’s an enormous amount of love there, so there’s a great chance of a lot of them getting back together.”

The goal was to “shake everything up” as Glee heads deep into its fourth season.

Cory seems to see the positive nature in the splits.

“All of the possibilities are really exciting,” Cory says. “But there’s still a apart of me that’s nostalgic. It’s hard. I’ve always had such a personal attachment to the ‘Finchel’ storyline, and there’s real doubt as to whether or not they’ll ever get back together again. So to see it potentially go by the wayside is very sad.”

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Which break up are you most sad about?
