After spending several nights out in New York City with Rihanna, Chris Brown decided that he needed to break things off with his girlfriend Karrueche Tran. Chris confirmed the end of his relationship on Oct. 4 to HollywoodLife.com exclusively, and a source close to the pop star insists he did so ‘respectfully’!

Our source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “He got rid of [Karrueche.] No shade, though, he did it respectfully. But at the end of the day, he had to break it off with her. Trust, [Chris feels] bad about it. He [does]…He slept the whole way back on the plane to L.A. [He's] a little sad because he cared about [her.] C’mon now, ain’t no denying that. He had mad [feelings] about her.]

On Oct. 4, Chris released a video on Twitter, entitled “The Real Chris Brown,” in which he spoke candidly about being his feelings towards the two women in his life.

“Is there such thing as loving two people? I don’t know. I don’t know if it’s possible. But for me, I just feel like that. I don’t want to hurt either or. It’s me. I’m not trying to be a player. My momma raised me differently.”
